West Bengal University of Health Sciences [WBUHS] Admissions 2021: Dates, Selection Criteria, Eligibility, Application Process

WBUHS was set up by an Act of “West Bengal Legislative Assembly in 2003”, for better management of Health and Medical Education.

WBUHS offers MBBS, MD, MS, DM, M.Ch. PG Diploma, DNB courses, BDS, MDS, B.Sc. Nursing, Basic Nursing, M.Sc. Nursing, Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), B. Pharmacy, Bachelor of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (BASLP), Master of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (MASLP), BPO, MPO BPT, MPT, Paramedical & Allied Health Sciences UG, PG courses, Non-degree programs (Fellowship & certificate courses), PhD program.

  • West Bengal University of Health Sciences Admissions for 2021 is based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.
  • For few programs and merit based, admission is done directly by the University through Aptitude test & personal interview.
  • In addition to the above, the eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the prerequisite of minimum marks in the qualifying examination as well.

WBUHS MBBS Admission 2021

WBUHS MBBS program is a 4 and half plus one-year internship full-time course. The minimum eligibility for this course is 10+2. The admission for MBBS is through NEET entrance examination.

MBBS (Medical) Specialization General Medicine, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology including Family welfare & allied specialties, Clinical postings/ subjects.

WBUHS MBBS Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must complete the age of 17 Years on or before 31st December, of the Year of admission to the MBBS course.
  • H.S.C / (+2) or equivalent qualification with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Botany & Zoology with minimum marks as per MCI norms.
  • And NEET (UG) score as prescribed by NTA.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A candidate who has passed 10+2 in science or equivalent with physics, chemistry, and mathematics / biology (with aggregate of 50% marks) will be eligible for the admission of this course.

Selection Criteria

  • Selection criteria for BASL and BPT, eligible candidates are selected based on marks scored in the last qualifying examination. However, candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria as well.
  • Selection criteria for BPO and B. Pharm is done through an entrance test conducted by the university. However, candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria as well.

WBUHS B. Sc and M. Sc (Nursing) Admission 2021

WBUHS B. Sc program is a 4 year’s full-time course. The minimum eligibility for this course is 10+2. M. Sc Nursing is 2 years full time course. The minimum eligibility for M. Sc Nursing is B. Sc Nursing.

B. Sc Nursing
M. Sc (Nursing) Medical Surgical Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates who passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination (those who have passed 10+1 before 1978 are also eligible to apply).
  • Candidates who also passed GNM examination and obtained GNM certificate / RNRM certificate registered by the State Nursing Council of any State of India are also eligible.
  • The minimum eligibility for M. Sc Nursing is B. Sc Nursing.

Selection Criteria

  • Selection criteria for B.Sc. program based on JENPAS-UG conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board.
  • Selection criteria for M.Sc. based on JENPAS-PG which is again conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance examination Board.

WBUHS MS Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must complete MBBS, or its equivalent degree recognised by MCI (Medical Council of India). Candidates who complete CRRI on or before 31.03.2018 are also eligible.
  • And NEET (PG) score as prescribed by MCI.
