VJTI Mumbai: Scholarships

The Institute does not have scholarship schemes of its own, but the State government provides some scholarships for the minority and students belonging to backward categories.

  • Panjabrao Deshmukh Vastigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna- This Scholarship is given to the students whose parents are farmers or registered laborers.
  • State Minority Scholarship- This is provided to the students belonging to minority communities such as Muslim, Buddhism, Jainism, Parsi, and others.
  • Rajashri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavritti Yojna- This is provided to students belonging to the Economically backward community. Here, 50% of tuition and exam fees are returned.

Students can also apply for various state and National level Scholarships for the reserved/ minority and EWS category.

There is a separate training and placement cell to develop and train the students for the Corporate World. The average placement was 87% in the year 2019-20.
