Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development [SCMHRD] Pune Admission 2021: Dates, Eligibility, Selection Criteria, Application Process

SCMHRD has declared the first merit list for MBA, MBA (BA), and MBA (IDM) programs on 15 March 2021. The programs will be commenced from July 2021. Admission to SCMHRD courses is based on a valid SNAP score and performance on WAT & GEPI. The total intake for MBA (Finance, Marketing, HR, and Operations) is 180, for MBA (IDM) is 60, for MBA (BA) is 60, and MBA (Executive) is 120.

Here are some of the key points related to SCMHRD MBA Shortlisting & Admissions:

  • Admission to the SCMHRD is based on an Entrance test named SNAP
  • The SNAP test is a computer-based test of 120 minutes
  • The application process & mode of entrance is online
  • Each wrong answer will attract 25% negative marks & there will be a total of 105 Normal Questions
  • The final selection process is based on the performance in SNAP, WAT, and GEPI. The weightage for selecting the candidates is calculated as 50% in SNAP Score, 30% in PI, 10% in GE & 10% in PI.
  • The overall SNAP Cut-off is 97 for General, 80 for SC, 50 for ST, 51 for DA, and 83 for KM
  • 15% seats are reserved for SC, 7.5% seats are reserved for ST, 3% seat is reserved for PH, 2% seat is for KM, and 15% seats are reserved for International Students.

MBA (General)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Graduate with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade from any recognized university / Institution of National Importance
  • Students appearing for the final year of Graduation can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks
  • A relaxation of 5% marks is there for SC/ST candidates only

Selection Criteria:

  • Based on the candidate’s performance in Symbiosis Nation Aptitude Test (SNAP) Score, candidates will be shortlisted for Group Exercise, Personal Interaction, and Writing Ability Test (GE-PIWAT)
  • Final selection will be based on the performance of the candidate’s in Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interview (PI) & Written Ability Test (WAT) as well as based on the information provided by the candidate in the application form

MBA (IDM)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Graduate in any Engineering Stream (B.E. or B. Tech), or Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch), or Bachelor of Planning (B. Plan.) with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade from any recognized university / Institution of National Importance
  • Preference will be given to the candidates with work experience
  • Students appearing for the final year of Graduation can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks
  • A relaxation of 5% marks is there for SC/ST candidates only
  • Candidates who have completed qualifying qualification from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)

Necessary steps to apply online for SCMHRD Admission

  2. You need to click on ‘Register now’ to create a new account.
  3. Read the instruction carefully & click on ‘I Agree to accept the Terms and Conditions
  4. Then, you need to fill in the necessary details as per the instructions & select the preferred test city
  5. Then, you need to click on ‘Save and Continue’
  6. An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number & email id
  7. After successful registration, you will receive the SNAP ID and Password on the registered email id and mobile number. Use this SNAP ID for further communications
  8. Then, you have to make payment of the SNAP test registration fee of INR 1750 (Non-refundable)
  9. After making the payment for the SNAP test registration fee, you have to make a separate registration fee of INR 1000.
  10. You can make payment of fees through Billdesk Payment Gateway, Easebuzz Payment Gateway, Indian Bank Payment Gateway, Demand Draft.
