St. Xavier’s College is about to release the cut off percentage tentatively in the first week of June, 2021. So, the candidates need to score minimum marks mentioned by the college in order to get selected.

Affiliated to the University of Mumbai, St. Xavier’s College is an autonomous college established in 1869. The college offers variety spheres of UG, PG, certificate and diploma courses in the discipline of Arts, Science, Business and Commerce. Xavier’s was the first college to be granted autonomy by the University of Mumbai in 2010. In 2006, St. Xavier’s was awarded the highest ‘A+’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

  • Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam conducted by the college and their 10th and 12th marks. The result of St. Xavier’s entrance exam will be announced tentatively in the third week of June, 2021.

Undergraduate Degree Courses

The Undergraduate (UG) course is of three years. Applicants are evaluated on the basis of their academic performance in the Higher Secondary School certificate (HSC) examination of the Mumbai Division Board or any other equivalent boards.

Course Eligibility Selection Criteria
BA A minimum of 45% marks in HSC from Maharashtra Board or any other recognized board. Merit on the basis of academic performance in the qualifying examination.
BSc A minimum of 45% marks in HSC from Maharashtra Board or any other recognized board. Merit on the basis of academic performance in the qualifying examination.
B.Com A minimum of 45% marks in HSC from Maharashtra Board or any other recognized board. Merit on the basis of academic performance in the qualifying examination.
BMM A minimum of 65% marks in HSC in Maharashtra Board or any other equivalent in any discipline. Merit basis and performance in the Entrance Test conducted by the college.
BMS A minimum of 65% marks in HSC in Maharashtra Board or any other equivalent in any discipline. Merit basis and performance in the Entrance Test conducted by the college.

Eligibility Criteria

The Candidates passing 12th class from foreign boards and students from international Baccalaureate or ‘A’ levels examinations – General Certificate of Education / Cambridge international School Exam of Cambridge or University of London must first obtain a ‘PRIMA FACIE’ Eligibility Letter from the University of Mumbai for the purpose of admissions to all First yea degree courses namely, BA/BSc/B.Com/BMM/BMS/BSc.

For BA/BSc/B.Com: The admissions are merit based and are subjected to accessibility of seats.

For BMM/BMS: Students from all three disciplines of Arts, Commerce, and science can apply and they will be selected through an entrance test conducted by the college.

  • For MPP the candidates are selected on the foundation of entrance exams and interviews conducted by the college.
  • Selection in MSc & MA is based on merit in the qualifying examination.
  • Students from any faculty other than the Arts faculty, University of Mumbai or from any other University will have to materialize for an entrance exam and an interrogation for MA.
  • Candidates have to pre register themselves for the entrance test of MA and MPP on the official website of the college.

  • The online exam will comprise of two questions:
    • Case Study: The candidates need to answer a few questions based on a policy-oriented case study.

  • Forms can be filled online for all the certificate and diploma courses.
  • Forensic Science certificate course is for duration of one year.

How to Apply?

The application process comprises both online and offline mode. Students can apply and make the payment online for all the courses, except for the B.Com course. The application process for B.Com is done through offline mode, by filling up the form and submitting it followed by an interview with the Vice Principal of the Commerce Section.

Online Process

The application process comprises of the following steps:

  • The candidates must fill in the Google form.
  • Followed by filling up of the application available in the University’s official website.
  • The candidates are expected to enter all the datas correctly.
  • Pay the fees.
  • Submit the form.

Offline Process

The application form must be collected from the College office, must be properly filled up and should be submitted with an attested copy of the BA/BSc Degree mark sheet and a passport size photograph along with the application fee of INR 320 to the college office.
