Sawai Man Singh Medical College, a government medical college in Jaipur, Rajasthan was established in 1947. It was the 15th centre for medical education in India.

The College is affiliated with Rajasthan University of Health and Sciences (RUHS), Jaipur, and is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

SMS College offers undergraduate, postgraduate, Diploma, and Certification courses in Medicine, Nursing and Paramedical branches.Over the years, the college has provided students with a high-quality education and is affiliated with some of the state’s best hospitals.


  • Candidates for MD/MS/PGD admission at SMS Medical College must take the NEET PG exam and meet the College cutoff.
  • Candidates have to appear for an Online Entrance Test (Computer based) at the college for admission in M.Sc
  • Candidates seeking admission in Super Specialty courses have to appear for the NEET SS exam and meet the SMS Medical College’s cutoff requirement.
  • For Undergraduate courses, admission is offered based on the NEET UG exam, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA)

SMS Medical College MBBS and BDS Admission 2021

The S.M.S. Medical College in Jaipur offers Undergraduate (UG) programs in MBBS and BDS with an annual intake capacity of 250 seats in graduation. Out of the 250 seats, 15% of seats are filled by the AIl India Quota (AIQ) and the remaining seats are filled by the State Govt based on inter-state merit of the applicants which is based on themarks/percentile scored by the applicants in the NEET exam.

The four-and-a-half-year MBBS programme is followed by a one-year mandatory rotating residential internship. Short courses in community health, nursing, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, child health, orthopaedics, emergency medicine, and other specialities are included in the 12-month internship.

For allotment of seats under the AIQ quota, the Medical Council Committee (MCC) performs the counselling process to release institute-specific cutoff ranks in two general and one mop-up round.

No other entrance exam scores will be used to admit candidates. Candidates must have appeared in the NEET exam to be eligible for selection.

Selection Criteria:

Candidates must apply for and take the NEET UG exam, which is administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

In addition, aspirants must participate in the MBBS Counseling process in order to be considered for entry into SMS Medical College.

Final admission will be determined by the results of the entrance exam, the counselling process, seat assignment, document verification, and payment of fees.

  • Seat Allotment Result will be published on the official website. Candidates are required to check the result and proceed to the next step.
  • Those who are offered a seat in the first round must either decline the offer or report to the college of their choice and complete the admissions process.

SMS Medical College PG Admission:

S.M.S. Medical College offers Postgraduate (PG) programs, like MS, MD, and Diploma programmes, with an annual intake of 424 seats. Admissions are merit-based, and the selection process is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education. To be eligible, students must have completed an MCI-accredited MBBS programme. All PG courses and diplomas are selected solely based on the NEET PG ranking.

PG applicants must complete their mandatory rotating internship by April 30, 2021, to be considered for admissions.

  • A new Registration ID and password will appear after successful payment.
