Eligibility for B.Tech

The eligibility criteria for admission to various B.Tech courses are undertaken in two ways:

  1. For Direct Entry admissions to the first year of B.Tech: Candidates have to qualify the cutoff marks of JEE Main and should have scored an aggregate of 60% in PCM in 10+2.
  2. For Lateral Entry Admissions directly to the second year of B.Tech: Candidates will have to qualify the entrance test conducted by SLIET Longowal. Along with that, it is mandatory to have 10+3.

After fulfilling the eligibility criteria, candidates will have to appear in the counseling process where it is mandatory to have proper documents as specified by the institute.

Q.How can the students improve their CGPA scores?

Answer: Those students who are not able to achieve the first division can improve their performance by retest procedure. An additional amount of INR 200 needs to be paid for the same. Please note that students can appear in retest only after the completion of their degree. Moreover, candidates aren’t eligible for the same if they have already attained first division!
