After successfully conducting 4 rounds of counselling, JoSAA has declared the seat allotment result for Round 5 on 3rd November 2020 at 8 PM (delayed). Seat Allotment Results for Round 1 to Round 4 were declared in the past month. Opening and closing ranks were also released soon after the results, for all JoSAA Participating Institutions. As per the options chosen in previous counselling round, candidates will have the following options-

If a candidate is allotted any seat or course in a college for the first time in Round 5, he/she can exercise one of all three options available. Previously, JoSAA released updated instructions for online verification and rules for change in willingness for an allotted seat / course.
Seat Matrix in JoSAA Participating Colleges
Due to tough competition in JEE Main 2020 and many students willing to study in India due to COVID-19, seats for a lot of colleges were already full by the end of Round 4. Here’s the seat matrix for all four types of institutions taking part in JoSAA Counselling 2020-

Soon after JoSAA Seat Allotment Results for Round 5 are declared, the process for admission to colleges and Round 6 will begin. Given below are deadlines for various activities-

Recently, the CSAB 2020 Special Rounds counselling schedule has also been released recently. The full schedule can be checked here. This round will be conducted only for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs if any seat is left vacant after JoSAA Counselling. It is to ensure all the seats are filled with deserving candidates.
