NIFTEM Sonepat Fee Structure For B.Tech Admission 2020-21

National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management is located at Kundli, Sonepat in the state of Haryana. NIFTEM Sonepat Fee structure is going to be completely split and discussed here in this article so that candidate or applicant can come to a proper understanding about the structure of fee that is going to be paid and for what purpose.

  • The process first starts with the application fee which has to be deposited by every candidate or applicant and it is non-refundable. The application fee is charged by National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management as per the following classification.
    1. Non- refundable application fee of INR 500 for candidates belonging to SC / ST categories.
    2. Non -refundable application fee of INR 1000 for candidates belonging to General and other categories.
  • NIFTEM Sonepat Fee Structure, number of seats allocated, tuition fee waiver policies where applicable are all devised and followed by the management as per the norms issued by Government of India.
  • Before or during the time of joining, every student has to pay the fee informed by the university and the same will be applicable for the following semesters as well till the student’s enrollment holds valid.

NIFTEM Sonepat Fee Structure: Scholarships and Waivers

NIFTEM Sonepat offers various scholarships and financial assistance to the students. A tuition Fee waiver is also awarded to the meritorious students on the basis of their scores in the qualifying examination.

  • Students belonging to SC, ST categories and also belonging to PWD category (Persons With Disability) also known as Diviyang are eligible for 100% tuition fee waiver policy as per the norms provided they submit applicable documents to the university management.
  • Meritorious students and students belonging to EWS category (Economically Weaker Section) are also eligible for 100% tuition waiver policy as per the norms provided they submit applicable documents to the university management.
  • Apart from fee waiver policies for students belonging to particular categories as per the norms of the Government of India issued to universities, NIFTEM also provides Fee Waiver Scholarships to students based on certain eligibility conditions with regard to the merit standing of the student.

How to pay NIFTEM Sonepat Fees?

  1. The fee payment procedure is to be done online through the State Bank of India Collect portal which has to be done before the scheduled admission session at the NIFTEM campus for students getting selected through JoSAA / CSAB process.
  2. The management does not allow any installment methods which means before the admission is done or processed the student or the applicant must have paid the whole semester fee amount.

National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM Sonepat) was started by the Government of India by the continuous request of the food industry to have an Apex authority as a One Stop Solution Provider for all the problems faced in the sector. The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (Government of India) has started this institute with an initial investment of about INR 500 Crore (US $125 million).

  • NIFTEM Sonepat campus area is around 100 acres. It is located at a prime location in North Delhi – Haryana border on NH-1. This Institute aims at becoming an international centre of excellence in the area of Food Technology and Management.
  • The institute has been granted the status of a Deemed to be University under De-novo Category by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Human Resource Development.

NIFTEM Sonepat

NIFTEM (National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management) is a public university, offering B.Tech degree in Food Technology and Management as the only under-graduate course.

  • Auditorium: The capacity of this auditorium is 650 and it is well equipped to support all kinds of programs and conferences
  • Hostels: It is mandatory for all the students to stay in NIFTEM Sonepat hostels. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. Ambience is quite good and the gymnasium is there for students so that they can improve their physical health.
  • Sports Facilities: Space for both indoor and outdoor games is there and required arrangements are made.
  • Medical Facilities: 24×7 medical facilities are available and doctors are available only during the institute hours and on phone. All the first aid medicines and an ambulance are present in the college. For emergency purposes, a dedicated paramedical staff is always present.

The Board of Management in its 9th Meeting held on 20.03.2012 approved creation of a Scholarship Fund in NIFTEM by apportioning 5% of its Revenue Income for grant of following scholarships:

  • Merit Scholarship.
  • Merit-cum-Means Scholarship

The Institute will Offer following types of Scholarship to its Students:

  • NIFTEM Merit Scholarship: The scholarship will be available to the first 3 students on merit in B.Tech. and one student on merit in each of the programmes of M.Tech. Merit Scholarship is given to the second semester students only. This means that the toppers of first year will be given this scholarship that includes tuition fee waiver and a fixed stipend for each month for a total ten months.
  • 5% students will be considered for award of scholarship i.e. six students in M.Tech. (one each in all the five streams). It includes a tuition fee waiver and a fixed monthly stipend for ten months.
  • NIFTEM Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: Institute merit cum means scholarship is awarded to students in M.Tech. of the institute strictly on merit-cum means basis and on the recommendations of the scholarship committee.
