Last updated on August 26th, 2021 by Nikita Joshi

NLSIU Bangalore is asking for applications to its four residential, research-oriented doctoral programs, viz. Ph.D. in Law, Ph.D. in an interdisciplinary program, Ph.D. in Public Policy and Doctor of Laws (LLD). Candidates can visit the official website to apply.

Applicants applying to programs other than LLD will then need to appear for the qualifying written test, which shall be organized online owing to the unprecedented circumstances this year. This will be followed by an oral presentation in the presence of an expert council, whose report is to be approved by the PG Council for admissions.

The admissions for the flagship UG program in BA LLB at NLSIU Bangalore, along with the PG LLM course, are expected to start after the announcement of CLAT results, which is yet to be held owing to postponement on grounds of lockdown and a nationwide increase in COVID-19 cases. Admissions to the eight PG diploma programs, including the flagship Master of Business Laws program, are likely to be announced in the next few upcoming weeks since the courses start in the month of July.

The results for PAT, which is the qualifying exam for the two-year course on Masters of Public Policy, were released on May 20th, 2021. Applicants who were able to qualify for the PAT exam shall need to appear for essay writing, followed by a personal interview. These will be held online, owing to the pandemic restrictions in place.
