National Institute of Technology (NIT) South Goa established in 2010 offers 5 UG and 3 PG courses along with PhD programs. Admission under these courses are based on candidates’ merit and marks obtained by them in the entrance examination (JEE-MAIN) followed by the counseling process.

NITG was ranked 77th among the top 100 best engineering colleges in 2020 according to NIRF. It also emerged at the best among 11 new NITs. Top Recruiters are Samsung R&D, HFCL, Saggezza, Saankhya labs, Unisys, ZS Associates offering an average package of INR 7.35 LPA.

Various different courses are offered by NIT-Goa. The following are the courses along with their respective details.

NIT Goa Admission

Admission process of NITG is mainly merit based entrance examination. Applicants have to fulfill the eligibility criteria along with scoring cutoff marks or more in JEE-MAIN/GATE examination.

NIT Goa Cut Off

The cut off marks for NIT-G keeps varying year wise. The factors on which the cut off marks are set are:

  • Number of candidates appearing for the exam.
  • Difficulty level of JEE MAIN exam.

NIT Goa Scholarship

Institute provides four different types of scholarships to the candidates. It focuses more on the backward classes.

  • Scholarships to the SC/ST/OBC are provided in the National Scholarship portal and Goa shipyard ltd.
  • Post-Matric Scholarship, Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana, and Merit-Based Award is provided to the ST students.
  • National Scholarship for Higher Education is also provided for ST Students.
  • Global Korea Scholarship to M.Tech. and Ph.D. students of the institute.
