MIT Institute of Design (MITID) was founded in August 2006 under the flagship of Maharashtra Academy of Engineering and Educational Research (MAEER). The MIT Group established MIT ADT and MIT Institute of Design is affiliated with MIT-ADT. In the past 12 years, it has created the reputation of being one of the best design institutes in India. MITID has collaborated with nine reputed international universities to offer its students holistic research-based practical knowledge.

The MIT Institute of Design conducts the MITID-DAT for the admission of students for B.Des and M.Des. The merit list is prepared based on the score in MITID-DAT The selection process for the Ph.D. programs involves a written test, performance in the previous academic field, and an interview.

Ph.D. Programs:

MIT Institute of Design offers the Ph.D. The program across 23 areas. The minimum duration of the program is 3 years and a maximum of 6 years, including all the coursework. It is offered as a full-time course or a part-time course.

To apply for the course candidate must fill the application form and submit the alternative research proposal. The tentative application fee is INR 1,500.

MIT Institute of Design Scholarship

  • MITID grants 15 scholarships to the students of B.Des and M.Des. Students need to fill the requisite form along with the necessary documents by the end of the 1st semester.
  • An interview panel is set up for deciding whether the students are eligible for the scholarships. Selected students get a total fee waiver for the particular academic year.

NOTE: The MITID has tied up with CREDILA AN HDFC LTD. COMPANY to offer financial aid in the form of educational loans to students.

MIT Institute of Design Placement

The MIT Institute of Design runs an extensive placement drive for the placement of the students. Around 72.8% get placed in reputed MNCs, design studios, or start-ups. MITID conducts mock interviews and other training programs to enhance the skills of the students.

Top recruiting recruiters include Accenture, Larsen & Toubro, Kokuyo Camlin, Microsoft, MSL Group, Leaf Design Pvt. Ltd., Nokia, Carbon Designs Group, etc. The salary package offered to the students begins around INR 3 lakhs and goes as high as 12 lakhs.
