Lloyd Law College Admission 2021: Course, Eligibility, Selection Criteria, Dates

The college is inviting applications to LLB and BA LLB Admissions. The last day for submitting the application form is April 30 and the candidates will be issued admit cards by June 23. LET Exam dates have been announced to be held on June 26 for both the courses.

Admissions to the law courses are done through a written common test called Lloyd Entrance Test (LET). Apart from scores in LET the candidates are also selected based on their score in CLAT exam. Candidates should have scored at least 45% aggregate marks in their class 12th board result to be eligible to apply for the courses.

The BA LLB course is an integrated law course for 5 years with an annual intake of 240 seats out of which 180 seats are filled through LET and the remaining through CLAT. 180 students are accommodated in the LLB program per batch. Here are some key points regarding admissions at Lloyd Law College:

  • All applications are accepted through online mode only.
  • The LLB program is applicable for only the qualifiers of the Lloyd Entrance Test (LET). The program does not accept CLAT scores.
  • Students from the reserved category with at least 40% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply for the program.
  • According to the norms set by the C.C.S. University and the Bar Council, only those candidates who are less than 25 years of age as of July 1st in the year of appearing in the entrance exam are eligible to apply.
  • LET qualified candidates are selected on the basis of merit and their performance in the personal interview.
  • Students who have qualified CLAT are selected on the basis of marks obtained in the common entrance test and performance in a personal interview.

Lloyd Law College BA LLB and LLB Admission 2021

Lloyd Law College offers an integrated BA LLB program and a regular LLB program at its UG level degree program. There are no specializations for these two courses. The eligibility criteria and selection procedure for the courses are given below.

Eligibility 2021

  • Candidates applying for BA LLB and LLB should have the minimum educational qualification of 10+2 from a recognized board with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
  • Candidates who have qualified for the CLAT examination are also eligible to apply. They can directly apply for the personal interview if desired. Such candidates are exempted from appearing in the Lloyd Entrance Test (LET).
  • Students who have appeared or are appearing for their final year examination in March or April and awaiting results are also eligible to apply for the program.

Selection Criteria

  • Students for the B.A. LL. B and LL. B courses are selected on their performance in the Lloyd Entrance Test (LET) conducted by the college.
  • After shortlisting of students, they are called for a personal interview. The performance of the candidates in both LET and PI is considered for their selection.
  • Candidates who have valid scores in other law entrance exams like CLAT may also apply for the interview. They are eligible for admission and are exempted from LET. Such candidates are however selected on the basis of their performance in the Interview.

LET Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

The LET is conducted by Lloyd Law College every year for admissions to B.A. LLB and LLB programs. The exam is divided into 5 sections and has 150 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ). A section-wise distinction of marks is given in the table below:

  • For every correct answer, 1 mark is awarded to the candidate.
  • No negative marking is given for incorrect answers.
  • The medium of the exam in English.
  • The exam is conducted in offline mode.
  • The duration of the exam is 2 hours.

All applications in the LL. B and BA LL. B programs are done in online mode. Candidates can visit the official website of Lloyd Law College at www.lloydlawcollege.edu.in and access the application form. The steps of the application process are given below:

  • Different application links are available on the website. Click on the link of the application form for the particular course the candidate is applying to.
  • Fill up the application form with correct and necessary details.
  • Upload the candidate’s current phone number and email id. This is required for the college to contact the candidate.
  • A scanned copy of a passport size picture of the candidate has to be uploaded with the application form before submission.
  • An application fee has to be paid through the payment gateway enabled on the application portal of the website.
  • Admit cards can be downloaded from the official website within the dates pre-specified by the college.
