Selection Criteria for UG Courses (B.E. & B.Tech)

The selection criteria for both B.E. and B.Tech courses are the same. The selection of the candidates will be fully based on the merit of the candidates on the qualifying exam (TNEA), conducted by the Anna University.

  1. The Tamil Nadu Government permits aspiring students for B.E. and B.Tech admission at Kumaraguru College of Technology via TANCET counseling, organized by the Anna University, Chennai.
  2. The governing authority will prepare a merit list of the candidates’ results of the 12th board exam.
  3. Candidates will appear for the TNEA counseling, whose names will be listed in the merit list.

KCT Ph.D. Admission Steps

  • The admission process is conducted twice every year, by the Anna University, the center of research.
  • The eligible candidates will need to take a written test/interview round to go ahead in the qualifying process.
  • The candidates can also make contact with the respective supervisors of the research center and get into a discussion about their topic, to get their approval.
  • The selected candidates will be admitted to the program based on the vacancy under the respective supervisors. The student is open to choose another supervisor too, in case of issues with the vacancy under the first supervisor.
