JEE Main Preparation Tips for Physics: Strategy for JEE Main Physics Preparation

  • Short notes of formulas:
    • It is imperative that you create short notes for formulas while studying any chapter of Physics for JEE Main.
    • These will help you revise easily during the last few days.
  • Read the Question thoroughly:
    • It is of utmost importance that you have understood the question properly before attempting it.
    • Sometimes, it is possible that the question requires a combined approach of two or more topics, because of which it is difficult to understand.
  • Accuracy is the key:
    • Higher accuracy is more important than higher speed.
    • Accuracy is gained by solving the questions correctly.
  • Previous Year Question Papers and Mock Tests:
    • The examination mode has changed and it requires the student to sit in front of a bright screen for more than 3 hours continuously.
    • Mocks Tests for JEE Main 2021 will help you get used to this.
    • Practice previous year question papers with a classic approach to end distractions from mobile phones or laptops.
  • Revision every week:
    • To make sure the topics are within your mind, revision is required every week.
    • Along with this, difficult physics JEE Main questions must be marked to attempt later on. Check Revision Plan
  • Study 3 hours, Analyse 3 hours:
    • Last but not the least, it is important to solve at least 1 full mock test of 3 hours every two or three days once the whole syllabus is complete.
    • But what’s even more important is analysing that particular mock test and the performance.
    • Working on the right approach, weak and strong topics will help boost the scores in future.

JEE Main Important Topics & Chapters: Weightage-wise Breakdown and Trend Analysis

Last updated on February 6th, 2021 at 06:37 pm

JEE Main Important Topics are of the utmost importance when it comes to JEE Main Preparations. At the same time, it is very hard to figure the important topics for JEE Main without proper data. That is why students must go the smarter and easier way that requires a strong commitment.

  • Every chapter in the JEE Main Syllabus is assigned a weightage of marks.
  • This weightage is not fixed according to any official guidebook by JEE Main conducting authority.
  • But, it is visible according to the question pattern followed in previous year JEE Main exams.
  • Now you have to break down all these chapters in 3-4 categories, such as most JEE Main important topics that carry a high weightage of marks, JEE Main important topics that carry an average weightage of marks and then JEE Main important topics that hold the minimum weightage of marks.
  • Doing this will bring your attention to those topics which are crucial for the examination. You can also segregate the topics of various sections in accordance with the difficulty level.
  • This will also help you figure the most important topics for JEE Main 2021.

JEE Main is one of the toughest competitive exams for engineering aspirants. Learning the formulae, chemical equations, steps for some questions and other rotting sections can never guarantee a great score in JEE Main. In this article, we are going to discuss the most important chapters for the JEE Main 2021 January session.

If we look at the JEE Main exam pattern, all the sections of Paper-1 will have 25 questions each and will be of 100 marks each. Out of the 25 questions, 5 will be Numerical Value Based Questions, which will have no negative marking. However, the JEE Main 2021 syllabus has not been released yet but we can analyse the important topics based on the JEE Main syllabus for 2020. Let us divide the JEE Main Important topics into the same three sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

JEE Main Preparation Tips for Class XI and XII Students

This section highlights JEE Main preparation tips for class XI and XII students.

Boards are Important!

  • Class XI and XII students must focus on their board exams
  • This is because they are equally important as JEE Main or JEE Advanced
  • Also, the aggregate percentage of boards is a deciding factor of a candidate’s eligibility in JEE Main and JEE Advanced
  • Due to tough competition among students, many top colleges do not enrol students below an aggregate of 90% in 12th.

Understanding Weaknesses

  • Many JEE Main 2021 aspirants take 11th class lightly to focus on 12th exams which is a wrong approach
  • Class XI subjects consist of topics that create a base for the topics of Class XII
  • To make concepts of 12th clear, one must understand the basics of the same in 11th class itself.

Time Flies!

  • Time management is important
  • Manage time in such a way that you get enough time for studying, doing household chores, leisure and other activities
  • Initially start by calculating the time consumed in day-to-day activities using a stopwatch
  • Then, prepare a time limit for every activity
  • Give a major portion of time for studies

Create Short Notes:

  • Students must create a habit of maintaining short notes of important topics of JEE Main 2021
  • This helps in revision a few days before the examination
  • Short notes are handy when time is less
  • Also, short notes are useful when one just needs to revise formulas, equations and short cut methods.

Do Not Procrastinate

  • It is not possible for JEE Main aspirants to decide how long will it take to cover entire JEE Main syllabus or JEE Advanced syllabus
  • Some benefits from the rigorous study while some scores well with less effective study
  • Stay focused and do hard work to a limit which is required
