Will NTA extend JEE Main Application Window?
Any chances of extending the JEE Main Application Window are very less likely. NTA has already notified that the application window will be reopened after the results of each session. They also notified the complete schedule from January to May 2021 for various sessions. Hence, NTA might not extend the application dates for students.
What about CBSE Boards?
Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal has already announced that CBSE Boards will be conducted after May 2021. This directly implies much more importance being given to competitive exams. He also announced that 75% eligibility criteria or top 20 percentile rule is being dropped this year as well. This also means students will be much less worried about their board exams. The dates will not clash either and students can focus calmly on JEE Main 2021 only.

This facility shall be open for all the candidates, along with the latest applications received from candidates during 19th to 24th May.

JEE Main 2020: Rise in Number of Female Aspirants for April Session
Last updated on April 20th, 2020 at 12:10 pm
JEE Main 2020 is all set to be conducted from April 05 to April 11 in online mode. JEE Main Registration for April session opened till March 12, 2020 and the numbers are slightly surprising. The number of applicants has dipped to 9.65 lakhs as compared to 11.5 lakhs last year. However, there is a positive rise in number of female applicants in JEE Mains this year.
Last year JEE Main saw 10.4 Lakh candidates appear in the exam. Only 24% among these candidates were female. The dip in number of overall registrations can be attributed to the fact that exam will be conducted twice this year and many aspirants are still in the final phase of preparation. Also the overlapping between JEE Main and Class 12 Board Practical exams is another decisive factor.
But the rise in number of female applicants is a positive reaction for the Government and officials.
