IIT Kharagpur Will Conduct JEE Advanced 2021; Check Expected Dates

It has been official for some time that JEE Advanced 2021 shall be conducted by IIT Kharagpur (IITKGP). Due to COVID-19 pandemic the exam was delayed by over 5 months. However, IIT Delhi conducted JEE Advanced 2020 with complete COVID-19 protocols for safety of candidates.

According to the official statement of Joint Admission Board (JAB), candidates who missed JEE Advanced 2020 due to COVID-19 or a similar reason can appear in JEE Advanced 2021, without qualifying JEE Main 2021. –Read More

The candidates who will appear in JEE Advanced 2021 are going to increase due to this, without capping the number to 2.5 lakh or anything else. This is to ensure all the deserving candidates get a chance to secure admissions in IITs.

There has been no official notification regarding the dates for JEE Main 2021 or JEE Advanced 2021 till now. Usually, JEE Main Registrations begin from September but amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the academic calendar has shifted by over 5 months. Going by the previous years, JEE Advanced 2021 dates are as follows-

Even though there have been some speculations regarding the reduction in JEE Advanced 2021 Syllabus, JAB or IIT Kharagpur have not released any official statement so far. If considering the time left for the exam, candidates should not expect any reduction in the same.

CBSE had reduced the syllabus for 2021 for Class 10th to 12th students by 30% in order to assist the candidates due to loss of classroom education amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
