Indian Institute of Management, located in Bodh Gaya, Bihar is one of the best institutes for Management studies and an emerging IIM in India. Started in 2015, It is a member of AACSB Business Education Alliance and is mentored by IIM, Calcutta. IIM, Bodh Gaya is ranked 24th by Outlook 2020. One of the most popular course is the Post Graduate Programme in Business Management (MBA) which is a two-year full-time course. Another popular course offered is the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), a five-year BBA-MBA integrated program for students passing out of Higher Secondary or its equivalent. The IPM provides a way for the students to earn an IIM PGPM degree without attending the CAT. The IPM has become more popular among students wishing to set their careers in management. It also offers a PhD in management.

For admission into the PGPM program, the CAT and CAP score and student profile (based on Higher Secondary score, work experience and other parameters) are considered for shortlisting and selection. The CAP or the Common Admission Process consists of a Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) which is common for all the IIM institutes. For admission into IPM, the selection is based on the score in the JIPMAT exam conducted by the NTA, the Secondary and Higher Secondary Exam marks. The admission for the PhD program is based on CAT, GATE, GRE, GMAT or JRF score and performance in the personal interview. IIM PGPM students can also directly apply for this program.

  • Course Duration: 2 years
  • Fees: INR 5.35 Lakhs (1st year) and INR 5.25 Lakh (2nd year) including hostel fees.
  • Eligibility: Candidates having completed Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ ST/ PwD) from a recognized board.

  • Course Duration: 5 years maximum
  • Fees: INR 6.82 Lakhs per year
  • Eligibility: Candidates having completed a Master’s degree in any discipline or having CA, ICWA, CS qualifications with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates having completed BE, BTech, BArch with minimum CGPA 6.5 or equivalent or Integrated Master’s Program with minimum 60% marks or equivalent. Age should be within 40 years.

IIM Bodh Gaya Placements

The placement process includes both on-campus and off-campus recruitment drives by the placement cell. Whenever an organization wishes to recruit from the institute, the placement cell informs the students about the job details.

Students interested in the job may express their interest and the recruiter shortlists suitable candidates. The shortlisted students may attend further rounds with the recruiter for selection. Students may attend off-campus interviews by registering for the same.

The Career Development Committee (CDC), a student-driven committee also conducts the summer placements for the junior batch and the final placements for final year students acting as a bridge between industry and the institute. IIM Bodh Gaya also has an ‘Envision Cell,’ which is a non-profit student organization to foster entrepreneurship skills in students. It enables interaction between students, entrepreneurs, organizations, venture capitalists and also provides consultancy and support activity for entrepreneurial projects.

IIM Bodh Gaya Scholarships

The institute offers various scholarships to help its deserving students and those in need to pursue their studies.

  • The Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top-Class Education for SC Students: This scholarship offered by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment provides full financial support for SC students pursuing education beyond class 12. Meritorious SC students whose family’s total income does not exceed INR 4.5 Lakh per annum are eligible for this scholarship.
  • The Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top-Class Education for ST Students: This scholarship offered by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs provides full financial support (full tuition fee and non-refundable fees up to a ceiling of INR 2.0 Lakhs per student) for SC students pursuing education beyond class 12 in listed institutions. Meritorious SC students whose family’s total income does not exceed INR 2.0 Lakh per annum getting admission into courses of 127 listed institutions are eligible for this scholarship.
  • Merit-cum means a scholarship scheme belonging to the minority communities: The scholarship provided by the Ministry of Minority Affairs provides financial assistance to poor and meritorious students of the minority community for pursuing professional and technical courses. Students belonging to the minority community, scoring not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination with total family income not exceeding INR 2.50 Lakhs per year are eligible to apply.
  • Scholarship for Top Class Education for Students with Disabilities: Students studying in graduate, postgraduate or diploma in a listed institution of excellence in education, having more than 40% disability with the total family income not exceeding INR 6 Lakhs per annum are eligible to apply.
  • Doctoral Fellowship: IIM Bodh Gaya also offers financial assistance to scholars pursuing their PdD as fellowships. The fellowship offers a monthly stipend of INR 32800 till the comprehensive exam, INR 35400 post comprehensive exam and INR 39300 post-approval of thesis proposal. It also provides additional financial support in the form of contingency grants, a one-time grant for laptop and INR 175000 to attend conferences (within a period of 5 years maximum).
