IIT Hyderabad Placements Report and Internship Programs

IIT Hyderabad Placements and internship reports for Phase-1 for the academic year 2019- 2020 have been released on the official placement page of IIT Hyderabad. Evidently, IIT Hyderabad Placements had witnessed a variety of international and domestic offers.

  • Every year, the placement procedure at IIT Hyderabad takes place in two phases. The first phase takes place from the July month to the December month and the second phase spans from January to April.
  • Out of 490 candidates registered for the placements, around 325 were recruited from the B.Tech courses in the first round of placements. The first day of the round had seen 53 offers from 15 participating companies.
  • The highest and average salary offered to the candidates were INR 60.41 LPA and INR 22.07 LPA respectively in the Computer Science and Engineering department.

The top companies recruiting qualified candidates from IIT Hyderabad were Amazon, Oracle, Dell, AMD Bangalore, Dell, Infosys, Deloitte, Tata Consultancy Services, etc.

  • You will be asked to fill all your professional details also like current and previous qualification, entrance ranking, schooling/ college history, project history, percentage of marks in 10th, and 10+2 exams, etc.
  • You can add all your skills and achievements in the forthcoming boxes. Click on each achievement or any similar boxes to key in the relevant data in the adjacent box.
  • After adding all the details right from personal to achievements, click on “save” before the deadline date mentioned.

Note: If any student misses submitting all data including the resume, they will have to reach the office directly for further processing.

IIT Hyderabad Internship Selection

IIT Hyderabad placement cell invites various companies for participating in their internship offering program and when the companies respond to it, the students get allocated onto the registration form that they will be filling for the internship.

  • There will be a Pre-hiring process like Group Discussion, PPT, Written Test, etc.
  • After the pre-hiring process, the final hiring process done by the participating companies decides the selection of the candidates into the internship offerings.

IIT Hyderabad Fee Structure: Scholarships and Waivers

IIT Hyderabad also provides some kind of fee waiver cum scholarships for different categories of students. These scholarships are given to the students pursuing B.Tech. The scholarships are given on certain terms and conditions which the candidate(s) needs to fulfil for attaining any particular scholarship.

  • The institute provides for the scholarship to the SC/ ST candidates which works with certain terms and conditions.
  • This scholarship is for all the candidates of the UG B.Tech. of whose parent’s income is less than Rs. 6 Lacs per annum. It also includes the provision for free messing and boarding along with the pocket money of Rs. 250 /- per month.
  • Free Studentship scholarship is given to the 10% of the selected students of the institute.
  • The income of the parents of the selected students of general category should not exceed Rs. 5 Lacs per annum.
  • The income of the parents of the selected students of the OBC category should not exceed Rs. 8 Lacs per annum.
  • The other economically backward students who avail 2/3rd remission of the tuition fee will be eligible for 1/3rd reimbursement in tuition fee every semester. The necessary eligibility for this scholarship includes that the CGPA of the respective student should be 6.0.

  • Online Classes:
    • For the Jan-May 2020 semester, all ongoing courses of IITH were being offered online from 01.04.2020.
