IIT Gandhinagar placements have reached a new height in the last placement session. Over 80% of students have successfully got the placement.
- IIT Gandhinagar placements have seen a spike of 17% in the average salary of INR 8.96 LPA as compared to the previous year’s INR 7.58 LPA.
- Out of 170 students who registered for IIT Gandhinagar placements, 112 students from B.Tech were placed in the top-notch MNCs.

IIT Gandhinagar Placements Statistics
IIT Gandhinagar has a department called CDS as the placement cell of the institute. It arranges the recruitment and invites the top companies for the placement of their students.
- It also grooms the students of the institute to be capable enough to work in the best companies in every sector.
- CDS approaches the companies from June onwards after which the PPT slots open from mid-August onwards.

IIT Gandhinagar Summer Internship
The CDS of IIT Gandhinagar arranges internships for the second and third-year B.Tech students of its institute. The department approaches the organisations from the month of June onwards looking for IIT Gandhinagar internship opportunities. The companies then start the process of recruitment from the month of August onwards. The students have to fill up a form for the IIT Gandhinagar internship which is present on the official website of the college. The shortlisted students then go through the rounds of interviews and selections. At last, the chosen students start their internships in the period they have chosen.

Steps to Apply for the Internship
- The students can apply for IIT Gandhinagar internships only in their second or third year.

Important Notes on IIT Gandhinagar Fee Structure-
- As per the IIT Gandhinagar Fee Structure, the students have to pay additional fees according to the credit for the summer term.
- For every credit in the summer term, the candidates have to pay 5000/- per credit as per the norms drafted by the Board Of Governors.
- Bachelor degree candidates without the institute fellowship have to pay 500/- including the equivalent thesis unit.
- The hostel seat rent and the relevant utility charges will be around 4000/- for the entire summer term while the mess and laundry charges are as per the actuals mentioned in the tabular format.
- IIT Gandhinagar does not charge a monthly fee during the preparatory phase from the students. However, applicants must pay all the other relevant required fees and deposits to the institute.
- After successfully completing the preliminary phase, candidates are officially registered for the specific program for which you must pay tuition fees.

IIT Gandhinagar Fee Structure: Fee Waivers & Financial Aids
The new student financial support plan, launched during the 2016 school year, is as follows.
- SC / ST / PH students benefit from the full fee waiver.
- Economically backward students whose family income is less than Rs 1 lakh per year receive the total allowance in the IIT Gandhinagar Fee Structure.
- All other financially backward students whose household income is between 1 lakh and Rs 5 lakh per year gets the benefits from the 2/3 reduction in tuition fees in the IIT Gandhinagar Fee Structure.
- Students with an annual household income of less than Rs. 9,000,000 / – have access to interest-free loans under the Vidyalaxmi program for the full monthly fee.
Financial Aid By The TATA Motors Financial Aid Program (TMFAP)
TMFAP was introduced at IITGN in 2016 and is open to all IIT Gandhinagar students. The main objective is to provide financial support to students in the economically weaker division of the aspirants. The beneficiary students must donate money to IIT Gandhinagar after they are financially independent, which will be used to support other students.
Students who achieve a CPI of 6.0 or higher (excluding the first year) and whose annual household income does not exceed £ 6.50,000 in non-metropolitan areas and £ 7.50,000 in regions Metropolitan regions are eligible for this program.

IIT Gandhinagar Cut Off: JEE Advanced Opening and Closing Ranks

IIT Gandhinagar is one of the top IITs in India that offers its B.Tech course in 6 different specializations to the selected candidates in JEE Advanced. The admission procedure will be carried out by the Joint Admission Board (JAB) and allocations are made by the JoSAA Counselling in 6-7 rounds based on IIT Gandhinagar Cut Off ranks.
- For each round, an opening rank and a closing rank is declared which is the IIT Gandhinagar Cut Off for that particular course.
- Candidates with a rank between the specified ranks can apply for a seat in a limited time frame.
- Opening and Closing Ranks are further divided into categories, and again into gender.

Ans.: Following documents must be presented while seeking admission in IIT Gandhinagar, if you want to avail the benefits of Reservation.
- EWS Certificate – to avail the benefits of the Economically Weaker Section. It must be issued by appropriate authority.
- SC/ST Certificate – For availing the benefit of being in Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe. Certificate must be issued by proper organization, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer.
- PwD Certificate – Only if you are disabled more than 40%. There are doctors on spot for cross-checking to avoid misuse of such Certificate

- Candidates must not be covered under any other reservation like SC/ST/OBC.
- Family’s annual income must be below ₹ 4 lakh.

Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar or IIT Gandhinagar, also known as IITGN is one of the eight young IITs. The institute was initially monitored by IIT Bombay during its first few years. The classes at the new campus on the banks of river Sabarmati began in July 2015. IIT Gandhinagar is at the 24th position for engineering and ranked at 35th position overall, based on the NIRF Rankings 2020.

Eligibility for B.Tech at IIT Gandhinagar
A candidate is considered eligible for admission to IITs if he/she is eligible for JEE Advanced. Hence, JEE Advanced Eligibility can be reviewed. But there are certain conditions for allotment of seats.
- The candidate with a minimum 75% marks (SC/ST candidates get apply even with 65% as well) in Class 12 from a recognized board or school.
- Candidates post-qualifying JEE Main, need to clear the JEE Advanced cut off to seek admission for a course at Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar.

IIT Gandhinagar: Reservations via JEE Counselling (JoSAA)
The IIT Gandhinagar reservation criteria for the seats, category wise is mentioned below:
- 10% of the seats will be reserved for the candidates belonging to the economically weaker section (EWS).
- 15% will be reserved for the Scheduled Caste, while 7.5% for ST category candidates
- 27% of the seats are reserved for OBC-NCL category candidates.
