Applications Open For Android App Development Course Offered by IIT Bombay For Free

IIT Bombay invites applications for a free online course on Android App Development on SWAYAM platform.

The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay is providing a free online course on Android App development using Kotlin software. Google has announced Kotlin to be an official language on Android. The course will be offered on the SWAYAM platform. It is an eight week course consisting of 10 audio-visual spoken tutorials. The learners can view the tutorials as per their convenience after registering for the course. The application process for the course has begun.

This course has no minimum eligibility requirements. Hence, any interested participant can register and take the course. Students who are interested in app development should register and understand the various aspects. This will surely help students who wish to pursue Computer Science Engineering after JEE Main.

Software Requirements for the Free Online Course

  • You must have Java installed on your system as the Kotlin software runs on the Java Virtual Machine.
  • Learners must ensure that stable high speed internet connection is available while installing and building the first project.
  • In order to learn about the setup on an android phone, follow the steps shown in “Getting Started with Hello World App” tutorial video.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has approved this course. The course will be facilitated by Kannan M Moudgalya. He is a professor at IIT Bombay. This 8 week course is suited for undergraduate as well as postgraduate students having interest in app development.

Instructions for IIT Bombay Fees Payment

  1. Students who are under the SC / ST / PwD category are exempted from the payment of any Tuition Fees.
  2. Candidates will be responsible for ensuring that their account has enough balance for remittance of their semester fees, and any cheques/drafts deposited for this purpose have cleared before fee payment is authorized online via asc.iitb.ac.in.
  3. The candidate/student can collect the payment details (UTR number) from the bank and should email his/her name, student roll no. and UTR number to [[email protected] while keeping in CC to [email protected], [email protected] & [email protected]) for the reconciliation of fees.
  4. Candidates/Students who wish to receive fee receipt should send a request mail to [email protected] After receipt of the email, a cash section will confirm the receipt of payment and then send a scanned copy of the signed fee receipt to the concerned candidates/student’s registered email id.
  5. Concerned candidates are required to request the bank or sponsoring agency to transfer the loan/fees amount directly to the student’s account. This will enable the student to make payment to IIT Bombay through an online payment gateway. In this way, fee receipt will be generated automatically and any delay can be avoided.

IIT Bombay Cut Off: JEE Advanced Opening & Closing Ranks

IIT Bombay Cut Off 2020 and merit list will be released online shortly after the exam is conducted. JEE Advanced 2020 is scheduled for 27 September 2020. The cut off is published annually by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSSA). There are a total of 7 rounds of JoSAA counselling conducted, after which it releases opening and closing ranks for all IITs.

  • Candidates who fall among the top 2,50,000 rankers in JEE Main 2020 across all categories are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
  • The IIT Bombay Cut Off will be released in the form of opening and closing ranks.
  • Due to female reservations at IITs, IIT Bombay Cut Off is also divided into gender and category.

Merit Cum Means Scholarship
