Admission in IIT BHU via JEE Advanced

IIT BHU was established in 1919 as a public university. It is a research and technical university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. It transformed into Banaras Hindu University in 1968. The university boasts 10 engineering departments, 3 science departments, 3 interdisciplinary schools and 1 Humanities & Social Sciences Section. IIT BHU Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed class 12 examination with minimum 75% (65% for SC/ST) or have come in the top 20 percentile in their respective board.

Admission Process for IIT BHU

JEE Advanced Cut off for Top Courses at IIT BHU

IIT BHU: Reservation through JEE Advanced Counselling

IIT BHU grants 795 seats for admission to B.Tech courses in 10 disciplines. Candidates clearing JEE Main and JEE Advanced will be eligible for JoSAA Counselling. JEE Main is a precursor for getting admission in NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs and JEE Advanced is a precursor for IITs in India.

JoSAA counselling will be extended due to the delays in both the entrance examinations amidst the pandemic of COVID-19.

According to the JEE Advanced Reservation criteria, 15% seats will be reserved for Scheduled Caste and 7.5% will be reserved for the Scheduled Tribe. Candidates are required to submit the necessary documents proving that they belong to the mentioned caste. Also candidates belonging to the OBC category may be given reservation in some courses.
