B.Tech in Food Technology is a UG program of 4 years duration, divided into 8 semesters. This course can be pursued by candidates who have passed class 12th in any Science stream i.e., PCM/PCB from a recognized board.

B.Tech in Food Technology: Admission Process
The admission process for B.Tech in Food Technology to the top institutes is usually based on the entrance exams. Many institutes prefer the scores of the national or state level entrance exams, while private institutes may conduct their own entry examinations.
They will have to go through the following processes for entry into the BTech Food Technology courses:
- Apply for entrance examinations at the national or state level, by filling in the application form, by providing the necessary documentation and by paying the application fees.
- Use the admission card to download and sit for the entrance exams.
- The results of the exams will be announced and their cut-off will be published a few days later by the colleges.
- Check the colleges where the cut-off could be cleared and apply for those colleges.
- By assessing the students based on the entry tests, previous academic grades, and any other extracurricular skills, the colleges will then release the merit list.
