IILM University is a statutory private university established under Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Act, 2018. It was started in 1993 under the aegis of the Ram Krishan & Sons Charitable Trust. IILM University is accredited by the NBA, SAQ, AIU and AICTE. IILM University offers undergraduate and postgraduate and doctorate education in the areas of Liberal Arts; Management; and Law with numerous specialisations. It also has a summer school. The university offers both 22 major and more than 30 minor courses.

All candidates who have passed 12th are eligible for undergraduate courses while those seeking admission in any postgraduate course require a valid Bachelor’s degree. IILM University accepts LSAT score for its law courses. Most courses require the students to attend personal interviews and the score of the entrance exams.

IILM University Scholarships

Scholarships are offered on merit-cum-means basis to qualifying candidates at the time of the admission subject to the recommendation of the admission committee. The following scholarships are offered on a percentage basis on the tuition fee-

  • Scholarships for Students of Haryana Domicile: 25% scholarship will be offered to those domiciled in Haryana in the following manner:
    1. One-fifth candidates of the 25% will be granted a full scholarship.
    2. Two-fifth of the 25% will be given a 50% scholarship.
    3. The balance of two-fifth of the 25% will be awarded a 25% scholarship.
  • Scholarship for Girls: Girls admitted to any course under Liberal Arts shall be offered a 10% scholarship.
  • Special Scholarships for students from J&K and North-East
  • Outstanding Achievement Scholarship: Applicants who have achieved something at the national/international level in Sports, Bravery or Culture will be awarded a 20% scholarship.
  • Merit Scholarship: Candidates scoring 90% or above in 12th will get a 20% scholarship.
  • Emergency need-based support: Students unable to support their education due to sudden death, serious illness, or any other circumstance can apply for this scholarship.
  • Scholarship for children of Defense Personnel and Wards of Martyrs: Wards of martyrs will get a 100% fee waiver while children of defence personnel will get a 20% waiver.
  • CLAT scholarship: Those scoring 100 marks or more in the CLAT examination are eligible for a 20% scholarship.

There are specific scholarships for MBA students that are-

  • 10% scholarship: This can be availed by all those who are selected into the IILM University MBA programme.
  • 20% scholarship: Selected candidates who have secured 60% or above in B. Tech or B.E., children of Defense Personnel and Wards of Martyrs (100% waiver), students from J&K and North-East, or who have achieved something at national/international level in Sports, Bravery or Culture will be eligible for this scholarship.
  • 40% scholarship: Candidates scoring 80% and above in 12th, 70% or above in B. Tech or B.E., 65% or above in BCA, B.Sc., B.Com or B.A. or scoring a minimum of 700 in MAT will be eligible for this scholarship.

Note: No candidate can avail of two scholarships at once.
