LLM
  • Duration- 2 years

  • Eligibility- Candidates 10+2 with a 5-year integrated B.A. LL.B / 10+2 with a 3-year Bachelor’s degree + a 3-year LL.B degree / 10+2 + a 4-year LL.B degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Ph. D
  • Duration- 5 years
  • Fees- INR 74,580
  • Eligibility- Candidates must have passed their Masters’s degree in the respective discipline with not less than 50% of marks.
  • Specialization- Economics, Sociology, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Legal Studies, International Relations
The Selection Process is based on the performance of the candidates on the Entrance Examination and Personal Interview.

SAU Scholarships

SAU offers scholarships to deserving students. The scholarships are:

  • President’s Scholarships-  This scholarship is given to the Master’s degree students of both Arts and Science, and the LLM students only. The scholarships are given for two years, and it is automatically renewed in the second year, based on the satisfactory performance in the first year.
  • SAARC India Silver Jubilee Scholarships- It is offered to the Masters and Ph. D students of the eligible countries specified by the MEA: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, and Nepal. This scholarship is awarded based on Merit.
  • SAU Merit Scholarships- This scholarship is for the Masters and LLM students. The eligibility criteria of the scholarship are given based on the following criteria:
  • For the Indian Students, the top two students, who do not opt for Presidents scholarship of the merit list will be given is scholarships
  • For the Non- Indian Scholarships, the top two candidates in the merit list who have not opted for SJS and President scholarships will be awarded this scholarship

Ques. What are the  Reservation Criteria in SAU?

Ans. The selection is done based on the performance of the entrance examination. But the seats are allotted to the students following the reservation rule.

  • 50% seats for Indian applicants
  • 4% seats for applicants from Maldives, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal,
  • 10% seats for applicants from Pakistan & Bangladesh
  • 10% seats for applicants from outside the SAARC Region

Ans. The total intake capacity of the Masters’s Degree in SAU is 180 students. Each specialization has 30 seats, where the students are selected based on the performance of the Entrance Examination.

Ques.  What is the total intake capacity for a doctorate course in SAU?

Ans. SAU has 32 intake capacity in Ph. D course. The specializations of the Ph. D courses are Economics, Sociology, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Legal Studies, International Relations. Each specialization has four seats, where the candidates are admitted based on the performance of the entrance examination and personal interview.

 
Ques.  What is the mode of application is SAU?

Ans. The aspirants of SAU can apply through the Online mode from the University Official website. No Offline forms will be encouraged. The documents like Class X and XII, Graduation Certificate, Income Certificate, Character Certificate, Passport sized Photographs are to be scanned and uploaded in the specified format.

Ques.  What is the application fee that the applicants must pay while applying in SAU?

Ans. The applicant must pay the application fee of INR 700. Students can either pay the application fee through Online mode via Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card or can pay through offline mode that is drawing Demand Draft in the favor of SAU.
