ILBS, Delhi NCR, New Delhi is an autonomous mono-super specialty hospital for liver and biliary diseases. The college has since its inception in 2009 functioned as a Public Educational Institute. The Institute is approved by UGC.

The Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences has many departments which collectively offer a plethora of PDCC, PGCC, PhD, DNB, M. Ch. and Short Certification programmes for admission. It also offers programs such as Certificate, Diploma and PhD.

Application forms for admission are available on the portal of the official website https://www.ilbs.in. Admission is done by the score obtained in entrance exam.

Admission in every program is done on the basis of Merit score obtained in the National Test which is conducted by the College. For Ph.D. course, the selection process is done on the basis of 2 stages; written test and personal interview with the faculty

Students get placed in various firms like Cipla, Apollo hospitals and IPCA etc. Scholarships are available for students.

Diplomate in National Board (DNB) is a full time degree program offered by ILBS. Students must complete their MD for admission in this course.

Selection Criteria

The selection in Ph.D. programme is evaluated on the performance in 2 stages:

Stage 1: Candidates must qualify the minimum eligibility of the simple General Aptitude Test organised by ILBS College.

Stage 2: The shortlisted candidates are called for an interview round. Total 100 will marks will be distributed in the following manner:

  • The candidate qualified NET with legal JRF fellowship- 30 marks
  • Candidates having previous research experience of 6 minimum months- 20 marks
  • Research Presentation 10 minutes- 10 marks
  • Communication skill in interview- 40 marks

Candidates should also secure minimum 60% aggregate or its equivalent as per UGC rules

ILBS Admission Process

The admission process at ILBS Delhi is completely online; given below is the step by step process of entire application-

Admission to ILBS is totally based on the merit scored by the candidates in the entrance exam as conducted by the institute. admission to PHD courses is a two-stage process where the entrance test is followed by an interview round and the ones who qualify both are only selected.

ILBS Cutoff

For admission in ILBS Delhi candidates need to obtain minimum qualifying percentage marks in NEET entrance examination for further admission process. candidates who belong to the reserved category of SC ST OBC are required to obtain marks equivalent to at least 40 percent so that they are considered for AIQ and state counselling process. Candidates who belong to the unreserved category are required to obtain an equivalent marks of at least 50 percent in their need examination for further admission process.

ILBS Placements

The college provides its students with various placement and job opportunities. It also provides the students with internship programs, stipends are also given during the internship period.

Minimum Stipend of Rs.10,000 is provided to the student of DM/M.

ILBS Facilities

INFRASTRUCTURE– ILBS Delhi has a seven acre campus with 70 + faculty members and provides over 17 courses . ILBS is a global Centre With Excellent Services provided for liver diseases, diagnosis treatment and care for its patients. It has around 155 beds with progressive health care facilities, medical, surgical and critical care facilities. Nearly half of the beds are dedicated for ICU patients. ILBS is likely to have a second phase Which is operational from 2014 this is strongly dedicated with a multi storied research complex, guest house, auditorium, hepato-biliary oncology unit, additional beds and residential accommodation; it will provide improved medical care surgical treatment and research facilities. The institute is well equipped with ultra modern labs, medical equipment, operating suits, endoscopy suites, ambulance services and emergency services etc. The institute also has a well-established cafeteria for visitors and staff.

LIBRARY- ILBS has a well-equipped central library which contains relevant books and journals in the main building. In addition to the books and journals there are CDS, audio-visual facilities and other facilities in the library. The books are of latest editions containing all the speciality of its allied subjects. Online E-JOURNAL facilities are also available.
