Indian Institute of Technology[IIT] Delhi Admission: Dates, Selection Criteria, Eligibility, Application Process

IIT Delhi has started entertaining online forms for the Postgraduate/Ph.D. programmes for the session of 2021-22. Interested candidates can apply for PhD/M.Tech/Interdisciplinary M.Tech/MS (Res)/M.Des/M.Sc in the various departments under IIT D. Candidates can apply using their email ID. The last date for applying to the PhD/M.Tech/M.Des/MSc is 24.04.2021.

The flagship and the most looked after course of IITD is B.Tech with over 13 specialisations. Computer Science and Engineering, Mathematics and Computing and Civil Engineering offered a 5 year Integrated M.Tech programme. The admission is done through m JOSAA at pan India level. JEE Advanced is the accepting entrance examination. Which also works as a selection criteria. According to official notification the date of JEE Advanced is scheduled on 03.07.2021.

Doctoral Programmes (PhD) at IIT Delhi is offered by every department and centre. The selection process varies from departments to departments. IIT Delhi B.Tech/Integrated M.Tech Programme

IIT Delhi offers a full time B.Tech and 5 year integrated M.Tech programme with various disciplines and specialisation. All total in B.Tech II D offers 13 specialisations whereas in Integrated M.Tech the institution offers 3 specialisations.

IIT Delhi B.Tech and Integrated M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary/10+2 from a recognised board of India with Physic,Chemistry and Mathematics as a subject not having less than 75% for UR/OBC-NCL students and not less than 60% for the SC/ST/PwD students.
  • Candidates should have passed JEE Advanced 2021 and contain a valid score card of the same.

IIT Delhi B.Tech and Integrated M.Tech Selection Process

  • Followed by JEE Mains every candidate has to appear and pass the JEE Advance examination at first.
  • On the basis of JEE Advanced score a cutoff list will be published, candidates will be able to know their AIR.
  • After the JEE Advanced results, candidates have to register themselves with the JOSAA counselling. Candidates need not to fill any separate form for IIT Delhi.
  • Candidates have to select their preferred branch in descending order and to confirm the choice one has to lock it.
  • Based on the cutoff set and declared by the IIT Delhi, the seats will be allocated to the students through the round of counselling. Unfilled/rest of the seats will be displayed in the further round of counselling.

How to apply for B.Tech / Integrated M.Tech Program in IIT Delhi 2021?

  • Every interested candidate has to register themselves with JEE Advanced with Email Id and Phone number.
  • After the complementation of registration one will get USERNAME and PASSWORD. To continue the further application one has log in through the Username and Password.
  • Fill up the rest of the form with required Personal details as well as Academic details. Candidates have to upload their pre scanned Passport Photo and Signature in order to complete the form.
  • In order to fill up the form every candidate has to pay the required fee through Debit Card/Credit Card /Net Banking/UPI by the instruction provided.

IIT Delhi M.Tech /MS (R) Programme

How to apply for M.Tech/MS(R) Programme ?

  • Every interested candidate has to register themselves first with COAP ( Common Offer Acceptance Portal ) in order to get eligible for the admission at IIT Delhi.
  • After the registration with COAP every candidate will get an COAP Registration Number which they have to use in further processes.
  • After the COAP registration visit.
  • Register yourself with the Email Id and Number. Once you register yourself with IITD you will get an automatic email/message having your Username and Password.
  • Using the following username password,login to the portal and fillup the form using the required documents.
  • After the submission of the form, pay the required money (200 for UR/OBC/EWS category and 50 for SC/ST/PwD category) by online.

IIT Delhi M.Des Programme

Apart from Technical education IITD also provides an opportunity for the design students to become an IITian at IIT Delhi with the programme namely M.Des with specialisation in Industrial Design. The admission is done with the CEED marks followed by stimulation design test/Personal Interview.

IIT Delhi M.Des Eligibility Criteria

  • For the M.Des programme the eligibility criteria is B.Tech/BE/BSc(Engg))B.Des/BID/Graduate Diploma in Designing with (75% or 7.5 CGPA for direct admission and 65% or 6.5 CGPA for Interview/Test).
  • Candidates applying for M.Des programme should have a valid and qualifying CEED score card.

  • All interested candidates have to appear and pass CEED in order to get eligible for the selection process.

IIT Delhi MBA Admission 2021

Department of Management Studies IIT Delhi is counted as one of the premier management institutes by NIRF. Being a non Business School, DMS IIT Delhi set its bar high when it comes to imparting Management Education. The department currently offers an MBA Program with 2 specialisations, namely MBA General Management and MBA Telecommunication System. All the admission are done through CAT scores.

IIT Delhi MBA Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor Degree in any discipline after completing Higher/Senior Secondary 10+2.

IIT Delhi PhD Admission 2021

IIT Delhi offers Doctoral Programme in every department, every field and subfield of subjects offered by IIT Delhi. Candidates having a Masters Degree in relevant field or a Full Time 4 years Bachelor Degree with valid external funding fellowship are encouraged to apply for the PhD programme at IIT Delhi.

IIT Delhi PhD Program Eligibility

  • Candidates having a Masters degree M.Tech/MBA/ME/MS/M.Sc/M.Des/MA in their respective field from a recognised university with 6.0 CGPA on the scale of 10 or 60% for UR OBC and EwS students while in case of SC ST PwD with 5.5 CGPA on the scale of 10 or 55% are eligible for the Program.

IIT Delhi was established in 1961. IIT Delhi: Scholarships

Undergraduates Scholarship Programmes

  • Institute Merit-Cum-Means (MCM) Scholarships: IIT Delhi provides this scholarship for undergraduate students of engineering and technology. Institute MCM Scholarship is provided to 25% of the students, where students from the General/OBC/EWS category get INR 1000/- per month and the receipt is exempted from paying the fees.
