Manipal Institute of Technology was established in the year 1957 on 11th May and is one of the first self-financing Engineering Colleges in India. Manipal Institute of Technology is a private college founded by Dr TMA Pai. The college offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Engineering.

Admissions are done on the basis of MET and other Engineering Entrance examinations of undergraduate courses and for post-graduate courses admissions are done on the basis of marks scored in exams like GATE and MET.

Manipal Institute of Technology Admission

Admission to MIT is purely based on marks scored in MET ( Manipal Entrance Exam) for B.Tech courses and on the basis of marks in both GATE and MET for M.Tech courses.

For the year 2021, the MET exams will be held in two parts. The last date for MET exams has been extended by MAHE (Manipal Academy of Higher education) till March 31, 2021. The MET application for the second attempt has been scheduled from 1, April to 25 May, 2021.

However the Entrance exams dates have also been scheduled. The first attempt will begin from April 16 and will be completed by April 20, 2021. The second phase will begin from 9 June and will continue till 15 June.

How to apply?

  • Candidates have to create an account in the official site of MAHE with details like email, phone number and password.
  • The next step is to fill in the application form. Here, in this step the candidate needs to enter details like name, date of birth, nationality and other documents needed to verify for eligibility.
  • The candidate should make sure that the details are correct and the documents and photos uploaded should be in the specific format provided in the application form.
  • Candidates need to fill in details like the program they want to opt for, and their nearest test city centre.
  • After filling all the details, cross check the details that have been filled and then pay the application fees of INR 600 for general category students through online modes of Payment.
  • Then click on submit and print the Application form for further details.

Since, the application has been done, the next step is to appear for the examination and then the shortlisted names based on the marks scored will be available online and then you get your seat in the college.
