LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad was established as a non-profit, non-government eye care institution by Gullapalli Nageswara Rao in 1987. It is located in Hyderabad, Telangana.

LVPEI offers rehabilitation services for visually impaired people. It is claimed to be one of the first major eye institutes in India to have received accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare providers (NABH).

The institution offers a BSc Optometry course, along with it PGDOVS (Post Graduate Diploma in Optometry and Vision Sciences). The eligibility criteria for BSc is based on the marks of class 12th and for PGDOVS require a Bachelor of Optometry followed by a written test conducted by the institution.
