Delhi School of Economics (DSE) was founded in 1949. It is one of the most prestigious colleges affiliated with University of Delhi. It was established by its Founder-Director V.K.R.V. Rao, with the support of Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. DSE offers several courses at UG, PG and Research level namely, BA, BA (Hons), MA, MBA, MPhil and PhD. Admissions to the courses are based on merit as well as entrance tests.

Delhi School of Economics Admission

For courses like BA and BA (Hons) Economics the admission is done on the basis of merit obtained in the previous qualifying examination.

For admission into MA Economics, M.Phil and PhD programmes, candidates must appear for the DUET entrance examination conducted by Delhi University. The institute also conduct PI for Research programmes. Selection to MBA is based on a valid score obtained in the CAT entrance examination.

The admission process is conducted by Delhi University’s Centralised Admission Process. Interested candidates must apply to DSE through Delhi University’s website.

Delhi School of Economics Placement

Delhi School of Economics has a dedicated placement cell called The Bottom Line which assists students in finding suitable employment. It organises on-campus placements drives which are visited by prestigious national and multinational companies.

According to the placement reports of 2020 the highest CTC offered was INR 18,00,000 and the average CTC was INR 10,57,000. The top companies that visited were Byju’s, Decathlon, Amazon, IMB, ICICI Bank and many others.
