Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences (SSSIHMS) is a private teaching hospital established in 2001 with an aim to provide free medical care to the poorest of the poor with highly skilled medical, nursing, and paramedical professionals delivering care with love.

The Institute offers DNB specialization programs across six medical fields – Cardiology, Cardio Thoracic & Vascular Surgery (CTVS), Urology, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesiology, and Orthopaedics. It also offers specialization in various fellowship and UG programs in Nursing and Allied Sciences like B.Sc. Nursing, Anaesthesia, Cardiac Care Technology, Imaging Technology, etc.

  • For admissions into DNB programs, the candidate needs to clear CET conducted by the National Board of Examinations and fulfill the minimum eligibility required for the program.
  • For admissions into Fellowship and UG program, the candidate must fulfill the required eligibility criteria and must have passed the previous qualifying exams.

It is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). Students training under DNB and Fellowship programs are paid hefty stipends as per the National Board guidelines as of December 2013. The applications for all the programs are available online as well as offline mode, eligible candidates can apply online.

The forms are expected to come out till the 2nd week of June. However there is no official information from the university yet.

SSSIHMS Bangalore DNB Admission Criteria 2021

SSSIHMS is accredited with the National Board of Education (NBE) to provide Diplomate of National Board (DNB) course to doctor with various specializations and levels:

SSSIHMS DNB Eligibility Criteria 

  • DNB Cardiology – The candidate Should have passed MBBS and The applicant should have passed the Centralised Entrance Test (CET-NBE).
  • DNB Urology – The candidate should have passed the MS/ DNB degree in General Surgery and The applicant should have passed the Centralised Entrance Test (CET-NBE).
  • DNB Ophthalmology, DNB Anaesthesiology, and DNB Orthopaedics – The candidate Should have passed MBBS and The applicant should have passed the Centralised Entrance Test (CET-NBE).

SSSIHMS DNB Selection Criteria 

Candidates will be offered admission based on marks scored in the Centralised Entrance Test (CET-NBE) which is conducted twice a year in January and July by National Board Examination, and seats will be allotted based on the counseling process conducted by the National Board of Education.

How to Apply? 

  • Go to the official website of the National Board of Examination https://nbe.edu.in/
  • Pay the required examination fees (Rs. 4500/-) and Submit the application form
  • Fill the Registration Form for Obtaining User ID and Password
  • User ID and Password will then be sent through SMS and Email.
  • Fill the Application Form and Upload your photograph, signature, and thumb impression
  • Choose your test city
  • Make a payment of fees (Rs. 4500/-) and Submit the application form.
  • Take a printout of the filled application form with transaction ID printed on it.

SSSIHMS Bangalore B.Sc Admission Criteria 2021 

SSSIHMS offers various UG-level courses in B.Sc Nursing and Allied Sciences. Students are selected based on their performance in the entrance test (Can be applied online or offline according to the student’s convenience) followed by a personal interview conducted at the institute level only for girls. The selected students would be sent admission letters and a merit list would also be released on the website. Nursing and Allied Health Sciences College is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore for imparting BSc Nursing, BSc Imaging Technology, BSc Perfusion 8 Technology, BSc Cardiac Care Technology, BSc Anesthesia & Operation Technology, and BSc Medical Laboratory Technology courses. Our B.Sc Nursing program has been approved by Indian Nursing Council and Karnataka State Nursing Council.

SSSIHMS B.Sc Eligibility Criteria

  • 10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with an aggregate of 45% marks from a recognized board.
  • The candidates should be 17 years (minimum) and 25 years (maximum) in the year of application.
  • The candidate should be medically fit.
  • The candidates would appear for the written examination. This examination would be based on the PUC/10+2 syllabuses of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology

SSSIHMS B.Sc Selection Criteria

Admission is completely merit-based. Candidates are selected based on their merit marks and called for an Interview. Based on a combined score of the entrance test and the interview, the candidates would be short-listed. Results for the selected and the waitlisted candidates would be put up on the Institute website

How to apply? 

  • The student should be an Indian citizen.
  • The candidate should have her own Gmail account
  • Online application form for the academic year 2021-22 can be filled by visiting the official website
  • Please use your email id to apply online and OTP will be sent to the mail id created by you for verification
  • The completed application form will be accepted.
  • The application will be verified and the call letter will be sent to the registered mail.
  • The calendar of events for the Entrance exams will be notified on the website.
  • The list of eligible students would also be put up on the Institute website (www.sssihms.org.in/academics).

Note: Admission is applicable for girl candidates only. The student should have studied all these subjects in XII Class: English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/(Botany and Zoology). For the course B.Sc. Imaging Technology, Mathematics is also required along with the above-mentioned subjects.

SSSIHMS offers a Fellowship to assist students in achieving cognitive knowledge and technical skills to perform Interventional Cardiology, Cardiothoracic & Vascular Anaesthesia, and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery procedures at the highest standards.

Fellowship Program Specializations along with duration offered by Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences and are as follows:

  • Interventional Cardiology (12 Months)

Admission is completely merit-based. Candidates are selected based on their merit marks and called for an Interview. The final selection is completely based on the performance of the candidates in the personal interview. Applications are invited from the eligible candidates from 1st Aug 2020 or the following fellowship programs under the aegis of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences
