Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women was established in 1969. The college has around 112+ well-furnished classrooms, 7 seminar halls, a fully air-conditioned state of Art Auditorium with a very nice ambiance. The college has a fully computerized library, well-equipped gym, various laboratories, Wi-Fi, etc.

  • For B.A. program – A minimum score of 40 % on the qualifying examination. One language and three best academic/elective subjects will be used to assess merit.
  • For B.A. (Hons.) in Hindi and English – A minimum score of 45 % on the qualifying examination. One language and three best academic/elective subjects will be used to assess merit.
  • For B.A. (Hons.) Economics – A minimum score of 45 % on the qualifying examination. One language and three best academic/elective subjects will be used to assess merit. Also, a candidate must have studied and passed mathematics at the qualifying examination.
  • For B.A. (Hons.) – A minimum score of 45 % on the qualifying examination. One language and three best academic/elective subjects will be used to assess merit.
  • For B.Sc. in Mathematics – The qualifying examination required a minimum of 50% in Mathematics and a total of 45 percent. One language, Mathematics, and two best elective/academic topics will be used to assess merit.
  • For B.Sc. in Computer Science – 60 percent or higher in Mathematics, and a total of 60 percent or higher in four disciplines, including Mathematics, one language, and two other Academic Subjects
  • For B.Com. Program – A minimum of 40% in English/Hindi and a mix of the best three subjects from the following list: Mathematics, Accountancy, Economics, and Business Studies/Commerce.
  • For B.Com. (Hons.) – In the qualifying examination, an overall score of 45 percent is required. For admission to B. Com. (Hons.), the applicant must have studied and passed Mathematics/Business Mathematics in the qualifying examination.
