Saurashtra University, Rajkot was established in the year 1967 after the State Legislative Assembly of Gujarat passed the Saurashtra University Act in the year 1965. 237 colleges in the state are affiliated to Saurashtra University which has been Graded A by NAAC (3rd Cycle).

The university offers UG, PG and PhD courses in different streams. The university has 29 academic departments which include subjects like Physics, Psychology, Physical Education, Law, Home Science, Journalism and more.

The admission of students is done through both online and offline process depending on the course the candidate has applied for. The selection of the students for the respective courses they have applied for is done on both a merit basis and through entrance exam scores secured by students.

Saurashtra University Admissions

Admissions at Saurashtra University is based on both merit and entrance exams. The university offers UG, PG, M.Phil. and PhD courses for the students in different streams. The mode of admission is through online and offline methods.

How to apply?

Mode 1:

  • The candidate needs to go online on their website and apply online for the course they want to pursue
  • The candidate will be required to fill an application form with personal information, educational qualification and upload the supporting documents for the same.
  • The candidate then needs to upload a recent photograph to the website after which a login id and password will be generated.
  • Then the candidate needs to pay the registration fee through the online payment mode and save the receipt of the payment of the registration fee.

Mode 2:

  • The candidate can apply for courses offline by going to the university office and collecting the respective admission applications for the desired course.
  • The candidate needs to fill out the application form with the required personal and educational details and attach the supporting documents with the application.
  • Then the candidate needs to submit the document with the registration fee to the university office and collect the receipt of the payment of the application fee.
