Sardar Patel College of Engineering has not yet released its application form for admission. MHT-CET exam is yet to be conducted. SPCE will release its 2021 admission notification after MHT-CET examination.

Admissions to all the UG, PG and Ph.D. courses are based on various entrance exams conducted by the University of Mumbai.

  • Admission to the UG is given on the basis of the rank obtained by the candidate in Maharashtra Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) or JEE (Main)
  • Admission to the PG is given on the basis of the rank obtained by the candidate in GATE Examination.
  • Admission to the PhD is given on the basis of the rank obtained by the candidate in PET and interview.

SPCE B.Tech Admission

Eligibility

  • The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects with minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC,ST and PWD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
  • For B.Tech (Lateral), candidates must have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology with at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC,ST and PWD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only),
  • For B.Tech (Lateral), candidates with B.Sc. from a recognised university and who have obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC,ST and PWD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject, are also eligible.
  • Students appearing for 10+2 or Diploma in Engineering are also eligible.
  • Maharashtra State candidates must have to appear for MHT-CET.
  • All India candidates need to appear for MHT-CET or JEE Mains.

Selection Criteria

  • Admission through counseling is conducted by DTE Maharashtra based on marks obtained in Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHCET) or rank obtained in JEE-Mains.
  • For international students admission is through counseling conducted by DTE Maharashtra based on marks obtained in mandatory subjects in 10+2.
  • The admission for first-year engineering degree courses is done through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
  • To become eligible for CAP the candidates need to register themselves online. They can visit the website of the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra and fill-up the form.
  • Candidates have to visit in person in the Application Form Receipt Centre (ARC) for document verification.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for CAP rounds based on their score in the entrance exam and preferences given by them for courses and colleges.
  • The seat will be allotted to the candidates as per the counseling rounds.
  • Finally, candidates have to report to the allotted institute and complete the remaining admission process, which includes document verification and fee payment.

How To Apply?

  • Visit the official website of DTE and create a login ID and password by registering with the help of Email ID and phone number.
  • Enter the required personal details.
  • Upload a passport sized photograph, signature and necessary documents as required.
  • Make the online registration fee payment.(The registration fee for General candidates is INR 800 and for reserved category candidates is INR 600).
  • Submit the application form.
  • Take the hard copy print of the application form for future reference.

SPCE M.Tech Admission

Eligibility

  • Candidates must have successfully completed Bachelor Degree in a relevant field of Engineering and Technology with at least 50% marks. (45% for SC,ST PWD candidates)
  • Candidates should have a valid GATE score
  • Students appearing for Final year of graduation are also eligible. But,they must have their documents ready for verification within the given deadline by the college.

Selection Criteria

  • Admission is granted through counseling conducted by DTE Maharashtra based on marks obtained in the GATE exam.
  • The admission for postgraduate engineering degree courses is done through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
  • To become eligible for CAP the candidates need to register themselves online. They need to visit the website of Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra and fill-up the form.
  • Candidates have to report to the Application Form Receipt Centre (ARC) for document verification.
  • Candidates who have appeared GATE and have marks higher than the qualifying marks are only eligible for admission through CAP.
  • The seat will be allotted to the candidates as per the counseling rounds.
  • The candidate who have qualified must report & confirm his/her admission by fulfilling necessary procedures, which includes document verification and fee payment.

SPCE PhD Admission

Eligibility

  • Candidates should have a Master’s Degree/ M.Phil. Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks (general category) or 50% marks (Reserved category).

Selection Criteria

  • Admission is through the score obtained in the PET exam conducted by the University of Mumbai, and the interviews conducted by the University of Mumbai

NOTE: 70% weightage is given to the PET exam and 30% to the Interview round.

How To Apply?

  • Visit the official website of the University of Mumbai.
  • In the ‘Latest News’ section, click on the Ph.D. Entrance Test link.
  • Then click on the PET Ph.D. Application link and click on the ‘Apply Online’ link.
  • After successful registration, a new login ID and password is generated for your use. Enter the login ID and password to fill the application form.
  • After entering all the details, print your filled application form for future reference.

Ans- SPCE have various facilities to its students.The library is open from 8am to 5pm and the study rooms are open for 24 hours on biometric registration. Classrooms and labs are well-ventilated with a newly introduced smartboard. Sports like cricket kit, football, TT table, carrom, chessboard, are available. This college has its own gymkhana, and the classroom and labs are good. Here, canteen food is available in a fair price, and the hostel has good accommodation facility.
