PEC Chandigarh is one of the top engineering colleges in India that accepts admissions on the basis of JEE Main. It is one of the oldest institutes and was founded in 1921. This institute basically focuses on applied sciences, engineering and technology. From the previous year, PEC Chandigarh Placements has seen an increase of 28.05 percent in the total number of placement offers this year.

• In the previous year, placements offered by the companies were around 360 but this year it has been increased to 461.
• PEC Chandigarh Average salary per annum also saw a growth of 8.5 percent from last year. Last year it was INR 9.4 lakh but this year it is recorded at INR 10.2 lakh.
• The pre-final year students of this institute undergo a semester long internship in leading organizations. The duration of this internship is 16 weeks to maximum 24 weeks. These internships keep the students well informed about the current scenarios in the industries.

PEC Chandigarh Summer Internships

Punjab Engineering College Chandigarh provides summer internships to the students. It is mentioned in the curriculum of the students of pre final year students that it is mandatory to attend the internship program under the leading organizations.

• It provides them the exposure to the real world and how work is done in the industries.
• It is a semester long program of about 16 to 24 weeks. It is held between January to June.
• These internships along with other industrial visits keep the students updated about the latest industrial trends.

More than 125 companies visited the campus this year. Students get recruited mostly in industry based sectors.

• There is an increase in the number of internships offered to the students.
• New companies also arrive here. Almost more than 30 new companies like Salesforce, Deloitte, Royal Bank of Scotland, etc.
• About 90 + students got internship stipends above 30,000 per month.
• A number of Startups are also invited to the campus drives.
• To promote Core Engineering Companies & Startup Culture, special drives are also conducted.
• Top recruiters who visited the campus were – Microsoft, Paytm, BHEL, Nestle, Amazon, etc.
• Highest internship stipend offered this year was about INR 1.5 lakh per month.
• Almost 26 students were offered an international internship for six months.
