NIT Trichy: B.Tech Admissions Through JEE Main

National Institute of Technology, Trichy is located in Tamil Nadu. The institute offers B.Tech and B.Arch courses at the UG level through JEE Main and JoSAA Counselling. BTech and BArch admissions at NIT Trichy are generated based on the candidates’ valid JEE Main. Post qualifying JEE Main, the candidates’ are supposed to appear for JoSAA counselling.

Qualifying JEE Main

  • No weightage for the 12th class marks will be given while calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) examination.

NIT Placements: Procedure

All the NITs adhere to the below-mentioned procedure while granting placement to its students.

  • Each year, invitations are sent to the leading companies in the form of brochures describing important information along with response sheets enquiring about the recruitment details. Soft copies of the brochure and response sheet are also mailed.
  • The company ten fills the response sheet and reverts back through mails/post to the Training and Placement Departments of the respective NITs.
  • After receiving all the details, the placement officer and coordinators communicate with the company and a mutually convenient date is finalized for the Campus Placement process.
  • The travel plans are obtained from the company and accordingly arrangements are made. Different schedules’ are made for pre-placement, post-placement, and post-placement related activities.
  • Respective companies make the offers and after shortlisting the candidates, offer letters are signed and accepted by the concerned students and sent to the company through the Training and Placement Department.
  • On the spot, offer letters are handed over to the graduates.
