NIT Jamshedpur or National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur is an institution which is recognized as an Institution of National Importance. - Scholarship by Welfare Department, Govt. Of Jharkhand: Financial support of tuition fees and maintenance charges are provided by the welfare department of the Government of Jharkhand to the students belonging to SC, ST or OBC category of Jharkhand state.
- Foundation for Academic Excellence and Access: Tuition fees, Maintenance fee, hostel and mess charges are provided by FAEA to 1st-year undergraduate students and who belong to socially and economically disadvantaged sections of BPL.
- Scholarship by National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation: Under this, 500 national scholarships are awarded to eligible students with disabilities. The amount is INR 1000 per month for hostellers and for day scholars it is INR 700 per month.
- NTPC Scholarship for Engineering Students: A scholarship of INR 1500 per month is given to eligible students belonging to reserved categories under this scheme.
- OP Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarships: This scholarship is provided to 3 toppers of second, third and fourth-year engineering students belonging to the given disciplines- civil, mechanical, metallurgical and electrical.
- Scholarship for ONGC Ltd, Dehradun: Electrical and Mechanical Engineering toppers are provided with scholarships under this scheme after the 6th semester. The amount of scholarship is INR 12,000 for first two years and INR 18,000 for the last two.
