Established in 1986, under the Ministry of Textiles, the NIFT Bangalore is one of the nation’s oldest and reputed fashion institutes.

NIFT Bangalore offers 4 years Bachelor Programs, 2 year Master Programs, certificate courses, and doctoral programs. The departments include Fashion Communication, Knitwear, Design Space, Leather Design, Design Space, Fashion Design, and so on.

NIFT Bangalore offers concessions to meritorious and students belonging to the weaker sections of society. Given below are details of the same:

SARTHAK NIFT Financial Assistance Scheme-

  • For undergraduate students whose parent’s income is up to INR 1.5 Lakh will receive a 100% waiver of the tuition fees.
  • If the parent’s annual income is above INR 1.5 Lakhs and below INR 2.5 Lakh, they will receive a 75% waiver of tuition fees.
  • If the student’s annual income is above INR 2.5 Lakhs but below INR 4 Lakhs, they will receive a 50% waiver of tuition fees.
  • Under the SARTHAK scheme for postgraduate students; 75% of tuition is waived off for students whose parents income come up to INR 1.5 Lakh, 50% of tuition is waived off for students whose parents income is between INR 1.5 Lakh and INR 2 Lakh, 25% of tuition is waived off for students whose parents income is between INR 2 Lakh and INR 4 Lakh.
  • For the students to continue receiving the scholarship throughout the course, students should receive at least 6.00 SGPA in the last two consecutive semesters.

UDAAN Scheme –

  • Through this scheme, NIFT provides an opportunity to study in the Summer Program/ semester exchange/ dual degree with its International Partner Institutes.
  • The student should have attained the minimum eligible marks.
