National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS), Pune is an autonomous research center at the national level. It is a top-ranking premier institution that researches in various fields of cell biology, biotechnology, tissue engineering, etc. The institute is affiliated with SPPU Pune and is approved by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology.

The popular course pursued at NCCS Pune is the PhD program. Eligibility for this program requires a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in a relevant PG degree. Final selections are done through the entrance exam and the interview round conducted by the institute. All procedures of application to the college are done in Offline Mode.

National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS), Pune has announced the start of Ph. D application process for the August 2021 session. The Ph. D program is offered for the subject of Modern Biology. Candidates must hold a PG degree in any science stream to be applicable. PG candidates with valid scholarships from CSIR/ ICMR/ UGC/ DBT/ BINC are eligible to apply. All the candidates should be Indian citizens with good academic records. Candidates selected through the interview will be given a fellowship from NCCS Pune.

Candidates should hold at least 50% aggregate marks or an equivalent GPA in their PG degree. Candidates should be not more than 28 years of age.
