- 40 students will get admission into this course (8 reserved for females).
- Students will be given the flexibility to choose electives in materials engineering.
- All those individuals, who want to explore wider opportunities in basic sciences and engineering, or a combination of the two, can opt for this course.
B.Tech in Engineering and Computational Mechanics
IIT Delhi has also launched an undergraduate course in Engineering and Computational Mechanics. This modern B.Tech course will also have an intake of 40 students only.
- Students will be enrolled for this course from 2020 onwards.
- The Department of Applied Mechanics will manage this course from the academic session of 2020-21.
- Students opting for this B.Tech specialization will be able to analyze difficult interdisciplinary phenomena relevant to problems in the industry.
- They will also be part of cutting-edge research by experimenting and analyzing things. JEE Advanced scores will be considered while finalizing candidates.
IIT Delhi 2020 Cut Off Ranks (Round 1)
To give you an idea about the difficulty of getting a seat in the above two courses, here are the IIT Delhi Round 1 Cut Off Ranks (OPEN, Gender-Neutral) from JoSAA Counselling 2020-
B.Tech Specialization | Opening Ranks | Closing Ranks |
Materials Engineering | 3002 | 3938 |
Engineering and Computational Mechanics | 427 | 1297 |
