NTA declared on Sunday morning that the JEE Main 2021 April Session stands postponed until further notice.
In light of the surge in COVID-19 infections throughout the country, the National Testing Agency (NTA) decided to postpone the April Session of JEE Main 2021. The April session was scheduled to be conducted from April 27 to April 30, 2021.
The announcement for the postponement of the National level Entrance Exam was made by the Union Education Minister, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. He further added that the revised dates for JEE Main April session will be announced at least 15 days prior to the exam.

Pokhriyal informed the students about the postponement through a tweet, “Given the current Covid-19 situation, I have advised NTA to postpone the JEE (Main) – 2021 April session. I would like to reiterate that the safety of our students and their academic career are Education Ministry’s and my prime concerns right now.”

The decision for the postponement was taken after the repeated demands made by students and parents. Recently, CBSE also postponed the board exams for Class 12th while the exams for Class 10th were cancelled. Further, the Union Ministry also postponed NEET (PG) in view of the surge in COVID cases. Due to the impact on exam dates for the April session, many believe NTA will also postpone the JEE Main May 2021 dates (session 4).
NTA has successfully conducted the February and March sessions. Students are advised to keep a check on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in for the updates about the exam dates.
