JEE Main 2020 Answer Key (Released): Official shift-wise answer keys

NTA has published JEE Main answer key, question papers and students’ responses for JEE Main 2020 January session on its official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in.

JEE Main examination was conducted from January 6, 2020, to January 9, 2020, in two shifts i.e. morning and evening. The JEE Main answer key for Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3 are available online on the official website. Students can check and challenge the JEE Main official answer key from January 13, 2020, to January 15, 2020.

Aspirants who are dissatisfied with the JEE Main Answer key have to pay the online amount of INR 1000/- as processing fee for each question challenged. Students can do the payment of processing fee through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking. However, If the representation is accepted by NTA the fees will be refunded. Otherwise, without processing fees, the challenge will not be entertained.

How to Challenge JEE Main 2020 Answer key?

If according to the student, the answer marked in the JEE Main answer key is not correct, then he/ she can challenge that particular answer in the JEE Main 2020 Answer key. Applicants can challenge the answer key through online mode only along with the relevant proof. To raise the objection, students need to pay an objection fee INR 1000/- for each question by credit card/debit card / net banking.

Steps to submit objection related to JEE Main 2020 Answer Key is as follows:

  • Login to the official website.
  • Click on “Challenge answer key”
  • Choose the Question Paper code and date.
  • Select the question number and enter the “answer” mentioned as well as the “claimed answer “.
  • Click on “Add to Claims list” to submit the challenge.
  • After selecting all the questions for the challenge, pay the required fee using debit/credit card.

Note: The fee is non-refundable under any circumstance. The decision of the board in this regard will be considered final and no further clarification will be provided.

Calculating Scores with JEE Main Answer Key

The primary purpose of any JEE Main answer key is to allow candidates to calculate their tentative scores and reduce their anxiety before the declaration of the final result. To calculate scores for JEE main, students need to follow the given steps and formula:

  • Download the JEE Main 2020 answer key and cross-check the answers.
  • Add marks for the correct answers and deduct marks from incorrect answers.
  • For each correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded whereas, for each incorrect answer, -1 mark will be deducted.
