JEE Main 2020 Results – Steps to Calculate

The JEE Main 2020 Result is calculated in the form of a percentile NTA score for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and a combined score. The NTA scores are obtained by the process of normalization, using the raw score gained by the candidates. The following formula is used to obtain the NTA score-

Calculate JEE Main 2020 Result

The NTA scores of candidates in JEE Main exam will be used to compute the ranks. The AIR and the scores obtained in Joint Entrance Exam have a direct relationship i.e. higher the scores, better the rank in JEE Main. In case, two or more candidates score equal marks, then the tie-breaking rule or inter-se-merit will be applicable.

The tie-breaking rule is a criterion on which the candidate for higher rank will be selected if there is a tie or equivalence between marks of two candidates. Usually, this does not affect the rank or percentile of a candidate by a huge degree.
