JEE Main 2020 was rescheduled for the second time by NTA recently. The exam is proposed to be conducted from 1st to 6th September 2020. But many students are struggling as UPSC has set the date for NDA (I) 2020 as 6th September. To ensure that the dates for NTA JEE Main 2020 and UPSC NDA 2020 do not clash for candidates, NTA provided the option in JEE Main Form Correction Window, to let candidates update if they are appearing for NDA 2020. This window was recently closed on 20th July 2020. Now, many students who have not used this option are worried if their dates could clash.
As a quick response, HRD Minister, Mr Ramesh Pokhriyal, addressed this difficulty. He tweeted to aspirants that NTA will make sure that the dates do not clash for students appearing in both exams.
.@DG_NTA will ensure that the two exams don’t clash for candidates appearing in both the exams.

Could This Mean Further Postponement?
This does not mean that dates might be postponed any further. More than 9 lakh students have applied for JEE Main 2020 which is much higher than applicants of NDA exam. The second session of JEE Main 2020 has already been postponed twice giving additional time for students to prepare for the exam.
However, clashing of dates could mean a slight change in schedule of either of the two. It is more likely that NDA 2020 dates might get shifted further due to less participation in comparison to JEE Main 2020. Or, NTA might also open the JEE Main correction window again for students to update their participation in NDA 2020.
NTA has made several changes such as doubling the number of exam centers in order to ensure social distancing. Along with this, NTA also decided to release the JEE Main 2020 Results within 5 days so that the academic calendar is not delayed too further.
