IIT Delhi will be releasing the JEE Advanced Answer Key 2020 (provisional) on 29th September 2020 tentatively. Along with the answer key, IIT Delhi will also provide the option to display a copy of candidates’ responses in JEE Advanced 2020, to get an idea of the expected score.

• Candidates will be able to challenge provisional JEE Advanced Answer Keys 2020.
• JEE Advanced Results 2020 will be based on Final Answer Keys which are expected to be announced together on 5th October 2020.

In order to view and download the JEE Advanced Answer Key 2020, follow these steps-

• Check the official portal of JEE Advanced 2020.
• Look for the link related to the JEE Advanced Answer Key for 2020 or the JEE Advanced login link.
• Enter the JEE Advanced Registration details, password and DOB and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
• Response Sheet and JEE Advanced Answer Key will be displayed on a new page.
• Candidates can take the print out or save the JEE Advanced Answer Key as PDF for future use.

Calculating Expected Score Using JEE Advanced Answer Keys

The most basic usage of answer keys is to get an idea of what the expected score of a candidate could be. With JEE Advanced Answer Key, candidates are able to view their responses (or attempt) against each question ID and along with the right response (answer) for that particular question. The responses are treated as option IDs.

• First, access or download the JEE Advanced Answer Keys as told in steps above.
• Now, match the option ID chosen by you in the response sheet with the right response in the answer key.
• If they match, it is the right answer. If they don’t, it is a wrong answer. Calculate total right and wrong answers
• Refer to the official marking scheme and give the same marks for the right answer and deduce for the wrong answer.
• Since the marking scheme for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 differ from each other, candidates are suggested to check the official marking scheme while calculating their scores.
• If there is some objection in the answer provided in the answer key, candidates are allowed to challenge the answer within the specified date.

Candidates are given the flexibility to challenge the official answer key announced by the organizing body if they believe that answer to any particular given in the answer key is wrong. Unofficial JEE Advanced 2018 Answer Keys By Coaching Institutes

JEE Advanced Result

The results of the exam will also be announced online and will be made available for the candidates through their login ID. The result announced by the authorities includes the marks obtained in both the papers and the candidate’s overall score. The final result is prepared based on the final answer key and based on the ranks obtained in the exam, candidates will get All India Ranks. Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) shortlist candidates strictly based on AIR rank obtained by the candidate.

• JEE Advanced Result for this academic year is proposed to be declared in October.
• Candidates who have obtained minimum qualifying marks will be considered for maintaining the Common Rank List.
• Category-wise AIR rank will be mentioned online post the results are announced.
• Candidates will not get any individual rank cards and they have to download the same from the official website only.
• The AIR presented on the JEE Advanced rank card will be considered while granting admissions. Candidates must keep it safe with them.

JEE Advanced 2020 Counselling

• JEE Advanced Counselling will start in October 2020 and JoSAA is responsible to manage all the activities related to counseling. The mode of counselling will be online.
• Only the shortlisted candidates will be allowed to take part in the counseling round.
• Counseling round is segmented into different processes including registration, Choice Filling, Choice Locking, Seat allotment Letter, letter related to seat acceptance & reporting to the college allotted in counseling.
• It is vital for the candidates to carry all the mandatory documents in originals and photocopies for a smoother run of the verification process.

Six rounds of seat allotment for admission will be organized across different institutions that come under JoSAA.
