JEE Advanced 2021 Result Released: Read How to check, Rank List, Qualifying Marks

JEE Advanced exam 2021 was a computer-based exam conducted entirely paperless across various 167 exam centres distributed over 7 IIT Zones. There were two compulsory papers in JEE Advanced 2021 – Paper 1 and 2; only those who appeared in both the papers will be considered for the JEE Advanced rank list. The rank list will take the aggregate scores gained by students. However, in case of the same score a number of other criterias will be in effect.

JEE Advanced 2021 results have been announced in the form of a dedicated scorecard for every candidate. JEE Advanced 2021 result page consist of the marks secured by the candidates, total score in both the JEE Advanced 2021 papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II, qualifying status and other required details. One has to head to the official website of JEE Advanced to access their results.

How to check JEE Advanced Results 2021?

Candidates can follow following steps to easily access their JEE Advanced 2021 results:

Step 1: Head to the official website, i.e., jeeadv.ac.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link on the right centre of your screen that reads, ‘JEE Advanced Result 2021’.

Step 3: A new page will be displayed on the screen.

Step 4: Enter the asked credentials such as Advanced Roll Number, date of birth and phone number

Step 5: Check the “I’m not robot” box and click on the submit option.

Step 6: Your result will appear on the screen.

Step 7: Download it and take a printout for future reference.

What if candidates scored the same? 

In such cases following tie-breaking criteria’s will be applied:

  • Candidates with more positive answers will be given the rank.
  • If the tie exists after this, then the candidate having higher marks in priority subjects will be taken into consideration. One securing higher marks in Mathematics will be given the rank.
  • In case the marks obtained in Mathematics are the same, the one with higher marks in Physics will be allotted the rank.
  • If the tie still remains, students will be assigned the same rank.

Minimum percentage for qualifying JEE Advanced Rank List 2021 

Out of the pool of candidates from JEE mains, not everyone will be listed on the rank list for JEE advanced 2021. To make it to the JEE Advanced rank list, one must gain at least the minimum qualifying percentage according to the category they fall into.

JEE Advanced 2021 Cut-off 

One can check their scores only after the official result declaration of the JEE Advanced 2021 result on October 15.

JEE Advanced Cut Off 2021 will be the minimum marks that candidates have to score for admission into the undergraduate level engineering programmes. Every year, the cut off is announced only after the result declaration. On the basis of the cut-off & rank list, candidates will be able to secure their admission in JEE Advanced participating institutes 2021.

One should look into the cut-off marks of last year to get an idea of the competition level of the current year. This would help them aim for the desired university, course, location and the respective score they need.
