The 6-year extensive course is aimed at grooming students with Mathematical and Engineering skills.
Various private engineering colleges have introduced a 6-year integrated engineering course. It initially introduces the students to the concepts of Class XI and XII. The course is aimed at preparing students for advanced technical education.
Prasad D Khandekar, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, MIT World Peace University, Pune said, “Students enrolled in this program are initially taught about the science subjects, equivalent to classes 11 & 12 along with right guidance of engineering techniques and tools, which help them to build their knowledge as per the industry requirements.” He further added that the aim of introducing the course is to grant entry to interested students without them wasting time and money on preparation for entrance exams.

Admissions at MIT World Peace University
This year, admissions to the integrated engineering course at the MIT World Peace University will be based on an online entrance exam. Until last year, the admissions were given based on the merit of students in Class X board exams. But the criteria has been changed due to the scrapping of Class X border exams this year.
The university offers the Integrated B.Tech course in 5 streams, namely, Computer Science, Civil, Telecommunication, Mechanical and Electronics Engineering. Admission to all these streams will be based on the scores secured by the candidates in the online entrance test.
Admissions at NMIMS, Mumbai
Seema Shah, the Director of the Integrated B.Tech Program at NMIMS, Mumbai said, “Getting into engineering after class X ensures seamless integration of students in the field. It also helps them to secure a seat and enjoy their engineering journey, away from any rat race of appearing various entrance tests”.
The Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering of NMIMS, Mumbai will offer this course. There are 360 seats in the course divided over various streams like Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, and Mechanical Engineering. Admissions to the course are offered on the basis of merit.
