IIITDM Jabalpur Summer Internships

IIITDM Jabalpur dedicates half a year (7th Semester + Summer) to Internship and they are of two types: On-Campus and Off-Campus.

• On-Campus Internship is that you have to stay in college and you have to work on a project which can be ongoing projects of Industry or the project in which a professor has been working. Generally, the Industry projects are paid one and the stipend varies from 10,000 to 20,000 per month. Mostly Students who are preparing for GRE and CAT opt for these projects because of fewer burdens and the project will be at students choice.
• Off-Campus is of two types: 1. Industry Internship 2. Internship in foreign University or in IIT Industry Internships: For this Internship, the college organizes an internship season for the Students doing 6th Semester in which companies visits the campus and offers 4 to 5 months paid Internship and the stipend varies from 20,000 to 1,00,000. They offer Domestic and International Internships. College also has a collaboration with more companies who offer internships and then PPO. Internship in foreign University or in IIT Mostly the students who have plans of MS opt for this type. They apply to foreign universities with college referrals. These are totally unpaid Internships.

Selection Process

• Only one student is allowed to secure one internship.
• In case a company does not give the final selection list of the students on the same day it visits the campus, then the students will be allowed to appear in other companies visiting on later days till they finally get selected.
• In case, if more than one result of selected students comes on the same day, then the student will be given an option to choose between both the companies of the previous day and the company of the present day.
• In case the result of the company gives its result on a day later than the day when the student was selected by another company, this late offer will be rejected and the company would be informed.
