IIIT Guwahati Placement Report and Summer Internship Programs

IIIT Guwahati placement session during the 2019-20 placement drive concluded as 76% of the students from the B.Tech program got placed under different sectors of the industry while 48% of the students got placed from the M.Tech program.

IIIT Guwahati Summer Internships

IIIT Guwahati not only provides the students with good placements but also with good internship opportunities. The top companies also select the students for such and the college has also tie-ups with different international institutions that help in such internship programs.

Students pursue a summer internship of around 10 – 12 weeks after their second year and their third year in corporate industries and academic institutions all over India and also abroad.

• Eligibility for participating in the internship program

Students are required to be a part of IIIT Guwahati as the outside students are not provided internships from here. Moreover, the students are selected as per the requirements of the hiring company. The companies set the eligibility criteria and the selection procedure based on which the candidates are further selected for the internship program.

• How to register for an internship?

IIIT Guwahati issues the application form wherein the students are required to fill in their personal details, semester details, name of the companies (preference-wise), and NOC (if required by the companies where the students are applying). The roles offered in the internship are like- application engineer, analyst, data science, research intern, etc.
