Established in 1836, Hooghly Mohsin College is a UGC approved government college offering UG and PG courses in subjects like Bengali, English, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Physiology, Zoology, Commerce etc. Admissions take place through both online and offline modes. Hooghly Mohsin College Admissions

Hooghly Mohsin College offers an admission process comprising both, online and offline modes. Interested students have to apply for the course through online mode. After the publication of merit lists, students need to appear on the college campus for document verification.

Candidates for both UG and PG courses are selected based on their marks of the previous degree until their seats in each subject are filled.

  • Fill up the application form with your preference of subject.
  • Pay the money mentioned in the application form through the online or demand draft process. Related details for the demand draft are mentioned in the application form.
  • After successful payment, download the filled up form and keep a print out of it for future reference.

  • Payment challan.
  • Original and photocopy mark sheets and certificates of secondary, higher secondary and bachelor’s degree(if applying for PG course).
  • 6 Passport size photographs.
  • ST/SC/OBC-A,B/PwD certificate (if applicable).
  • Original copy of school leaving certificate (for UG admission). [non returnable]
  • Original and photocopy of birth certificate.
  • Students who have applied in PG from other universities have to submit the migration certificate within 10 days of verification.

Hooghly Mohsin College Scholarships

Hooghly Mohsin College accommodates quite a number of scholarships, stipends and studentships for meritorious and needy students followed by government regulations to support quality education among all the students. Some of them are mentioned below:

  • Paramesh Chandra Mullick Award– This is given to honours students appearing in the final examination having the highest marks in each subject/ 60% of marks in science subjects/ 50% of marks in arts and commerce subjects.
  • Nilmoni Mukherjee Trust Fund: Students with the highest marks in the Economics stream can avail this trust fund.
  • Brojendra Nath Ghosh Physics Award Trust Fund: Students with Physics honours having the highest marks in the respective subjects are awarded this monetary benefit. This trust fund is also available for BPL students from other streams.
