Ans. Currently, NIRF has ranked IIT Madras (Chennai) 1st in engineering institutes. IIT Delhi comes 2nd and IIT Bombay is ranked 3rd. However, the education level of all the IITs is similar with IIT Bombay being ranked 1st multiple times in the past.
