Ans. To become a navy officer after completing a 3 years diploma in electrical engineering, one can opt for the Electro Technical Officer (ETO) course in BP Marine Academy. One needs to secure 60% marks in the diploma course to be eligible for admission to the ETO course.
After completing the course successfully, the candidates have to appear for Certificate of Competency Examination which is conducted by the Government of India. After getting the Certificate of Competency the candidate becomes eligible to join as Electro Technical Officer on any ship.
